October 28, 2021 at 4:01 pm in reply to: Replacing PS3, is there a better platform to future-proof? #519085
I just wrote a bunch of text and then hit a wrong key, now it’s all gone. Oh well…
I started using RPCS3 because my PS3 heating up too quick. It works pretty damn well to play all things considered.
The positives:
-Vocals, drums and guitar/bass work great
-Can make the game run at a higher framerate, higher resolution
-Adding new songs is easier and faster than having to transfer to PS3The biggest gripes:
-No Tilt Overdrive (forced to use select or wiping the GH neck touch strip)
-No keyboard support yet (drums were added this year though, last month or so they also started adding DJ Hero controllers and the Eye Toy camera, it’ll come eventually)
-Animations are even wonkier than on the original hardware
-Officially bought DLC will act up because of the license checkingIf there are any more questions, I’ll be glad to answer them.
I don’t really have the technical knowledge to answer this, but my guess is the game still “counts” whatever you deleted as part of the phrase. Since it’s impossible for you to sing any more of the phrase, it breaks the combo.
I think you need to flag the phrase as finished sooner, right after what you deleted so the game knows the phrase is over.
I don’t know how to do that but I hope this was of help and/or somebody more qualified can help you.I love that OP song T.M. Revolution did for Soul Reaper. I even modified an existing guitar tab of it to 1:1 perfection (short OP version) and added vocals as a guitar track.
I was kind of surprised, too. That said, while I enjoy it musically, I’m not a big fan of the speedy/thrashy stuff in Rock Band, so finding Nevermore tracks that won’t make my right hand fall off isn’t easy, hahaha. River Dragon is one I think would be really fun, as even the solo is pretty tame by Loomis standards.
Yeah, I know that feel. I’m a huge Megadeth fan but I dread having to play anything off the first 4 albums on X Guitar every time.
I’d rather pick a good song that’s fun to play than a song I love to listen but is way too hard for me.
I also really like Insignificant and Believe in Nothing off the same Dead Heart album regarding Nevermore songs.I was actually very suprised there wasn’t a single full band Nevermore song in the database.
Would love to see those songs you listed in the spreadsheet down the line, those are some of my favourite songs of that album!
You’ll definitely see me commenting on the release should you ever get those published.March 31, 2021 at 7:43 am in reply to: [PS3] Current situation with loop-ending affected songs #518038That’s what I do too: convert normally and if looping occurs, just re-do the single problem child with the fix. Has worked every time til now.

I can’t seem to find what RainbowDash321 is talking about either but I’m also very interested in getting this done on my PS3.
[About 70% done] Light in the Black – Rainbow
Very excited about this one!
January 23, 2021 at 4:24 pm in reply to: finding and deleting songs (indiv. and packs — whatever) #516774Wasted a lot of time switching to a new browser but I’ll report back with any findings for PS3 users if I get around to it.
January 22, 2021 at 6:37 pm in reply to: finding and deleting songs (indiv. and packs — whatever) #516759Any idea if this would work the same for the PS3 version? Would be very interested to put some time in to clean it up because wew laddy, what a mess.
Can’t seem to edit my post but after several hours of frustration, I got it to work again by logging into PSN and redownloading my RB2 Export Pack.
All the other DLC that didn’t feel like working all of a sudden seemingly started working again too, so that’s great news!
Seriously hope it never happens again. No idea if this would’ve been fixable without connecting to PSN.Hi everyone, hoping to find a bit of help here because I have no idea what’s going on.
Had a bunch of custom songs, still have a bunch of custom songs. I tried cleaning up my song library a bit, everything custom works, all my RB1 imported tracks work but my RB2 import and certain DLC tracks (which I all bought legally in the past) suddenly stopped working. They all display fine but when I try to play them they give me the “Unable to load, skipping song” error.
I’ve tried restoring it to how I had it before but that didn’t help either. At first I thought it had to do with me screwing up the songs.dta somehow but that would make no sense. Maybe it had to do with me fiddling with the internet settings to get my FTP going through the ethernet cable? Trying to re-validate my licenses or something? I tried adding the songs the custom way, it recognizes it as a custom song but it still gives the same error.
Any help would be appreciated.
Unable (incapable, lol) to help out, but here to show some enthousiasm!
Thank You Scientist really blew my mind when I heard from them some time ago, would love to see more of their stuff!
