Won’t Get Fooled Again, Foreplay / Long Time, Train Kept a Rollin, and Green Grass and High Tides are on-disc RB1 songs with long instrumental sections. In RB1 if you’re playing only vocals you get the short version, just so you aren’t sitting around waiting for the vocal part to start.
I don’t think this ever carried through to other Rock Band games.
It used to be possible to transfer legally purchased DLC from an updated PS4 to a jailbreak-able 5.05 PS4, if you were signed into the same PSN account on both systems. However, starting sometime between 6.00 and 7.00 the rights information file format has been updated and this is no longer possible.
If a jailbreak is released for a newer firmware it may become possible again.
As TrashRBPlayer said please see http://customscreators.com/index.php?/topic/17842-how-to-playing-customs-on-ps4-beta/for a better guide on RB4 customs.
xbox 1 you should be able too. my daughter has mods on minecraft on it so same ideals apply.
apps like 8 zip, download manager kit, file downloader, flies and folders lire,r3z,ufo transfer. let you dig right into the xbox folders dl files etc.
and xbox doesnt need jailbroken
While minecraft lets you access and add content with the file browser, RB4 does not. You would need a jailbreak / homebrew enabler like we have with some versions of the PS4 in order to have customs on Xbox one.
Quick update: animations now work properly. To accomplish this, all VENUE tracks are converted to RBN1 format if they’re not already. The game can then read venue data from the midi. Now bandmates don’t freeze at the start of the song and camera and lighting cues are followed.
No additional work is required on your part, the conversion is automatic. You just need to re-convert your songs to PKG.
RB3 is from PS3
as far as we know the PS4 allows us to play PS3 games.
could you understand?
This is incorrect. The PS4 does NOT allow you to play PS3 games. Only a limited selection of PS2 games are available through emulation.
If you want RB3 customs on PS4, you need to convert them and play them with RB4, as is well described in the first post of this thread.
Thank you MFX, very cool! Now I can finally use 64 bit REAPER like I do for everything else!
No, as I said, it cannot be done. What you have pasted here are simply instructions to access an Xbox-formatted disk on PC, nothing more.
It is not possible to open Xbox One or PS4 game content on your computer. The content packages require the hardware-based encryption within the game console itself in order to be mounted or extracted.
That said, if you buy Rock Band VR, you can access those files as they are simply installed to your PC hard drive and the formats used there are basically identical (with some extra extensions) to the RB4 files.
Can someone try to convert rb2 song export dlc? Or lego rock band export dlc. Will it work?
No.
Glad to hear that fixed your problem.
To answer your questions:
1. No, the update isn’t required. I just tried a custom on the Blu-Ray launch version, and it did work although the album art was… sparkly
2. Yes, go to “Settings” -> “☆Debug Settings” -> “Game” -> “Add Content Manager” -> “Delete” -> “Rock Band 4” and from there you can choose what to delete
3. It only works with Xbox 360 custom songs, more specifically it is only supposed to work with RB3 customs made with MAGMA C3 edition but it should work with anything that works on RB3/X360.
Ok. I think I found the issue. It’s the reverse issue of what was happening in an earlier build. Your computer has localization settings that tell programs to use a comma instead of a dot by default for a decimal separator, and that’s being written into the DTA files, but DTA files should always use a dot or else there will be type errors and eventually, no audio.
The latest build should fix that.
You aren’t doing anything wrong, but maybe something is wrong with the customs you’re using? It could also be something to do with the EU version, which I can’t debug myself. Which songs are you trying, specifically?
It sounds like you may be trying PKGs made with an earlier build than 0.1.141. Before that build, the customs would convert “successfully” but would not go ingame because the DTAs were written as UTF-16 instead of UTF-8. So you should try again with the latest build for those that didn’t work ingame.
Ok, that problem should be fixed on the latest release. Thanks for reporting!
Interesting, I can’t reproduce it, but since you’re using a Russian locale my first guess is that it must be some weird issue with using a comma instead of a period as a decimal separator.
