My first Harmonix game was EyeToy: AntiGrav. It was all right.

Kind of interested to see how HMX will chart “Hot for Teacher,” since I remember that song being of the questionable songs in WT (never played GHVH so I can’t comment on that chart). But god damn do I wish that they had included Expert+ in RB4, that song would be cool to play with double bass support.

Just watched the long version, and that certainly was a trip down memory lane! Thanks for making this Nemo!

There’s a bug I found when manually making a Visualizer image. When making the difficulties it seems everything’s been shifted. When clicking on “NO PART” I get Devil tier, clicking on 1 dot gives no dots, etc.

The vocals stem is mono in the files you zipped up. Are they like that in the CON too? Because the only stems that can be mono are Bass and the Kick stem, anything else should only be stereo as per the docs.

              Guitar:
Mostly fine, changed the note at M71.1 and any repeating notes. I just moved it up to a yellow.
Modified your tremolo lanes slightly so it partly covers the last note. This is simply to make the last note easier to hit.
Changed reductions in solo slightly to include blue and orange on Medium and Easy.

Something I did not fix (except in the guitar “solo”), but needs fixing:
There should be a space every 3,5 or 7 notes on Hard (your call on this, but every measure should have a space on Hard between 8th notes somewhere.)

              Bass:
Didn’t see anything wrong with this on Expert.
I changed reductions slightly. Mainly to include Blue and orange more in Med/Easy

              Drums:
I wouldn’t consider M43.4.75 being a separate note, it just sounds like he closes his hi-hat rather forcefully.
M129: He hits it while open, and then closes it, which is what gives it that extra sound. Not worth charting the closing.

It’s clear that you used CAT for reductions, since Easy goes Y-R-Y-R, etc. If you use CAT, don’t use the setting to remove notes paired with any snare.
Also, at this speed, Medium can have 2 kicks per measure. As well as have 8th notes on the right hand on Medium.
I added some kicks to Easy, because you barely had any.

              Looks fine otherwise.

              Keys:
I did not include fixes for keys. There a few things that need fixing.

It is again clear you used CAT fix default settings and not look at it afterward. From M12-61 on Hard you have stretches of notes that are way too long. There should be a space every 3,5 or 7 notes.

The guitar on keys should be removed for the main version. Feel free to include them in a “rhythm on keys” version.

                Bass:
Did not change much. Mainly some things like the pattern at M29-30. As well as some grace notes (there were a few where you had the note charted doing down, when they were going up). All in all, good job.

                Guitar:
In the main part, I didn’t change much. I made the muted chords single green notes after careful consideration as well as some input from other authors.
I also changed the solos a bit, most of it was alright, but I moved some notes around as well as added a few.

                Drums:
                Didn’t find much wrong here at all. I think I only changed M50, 58, 70 and 80
I don’t really think a 2X version is warranted since there’s only like 3 extra notes on the 2X version. The song I released last week, Freaks and Animals, had the same thing going for it and I decided not to include a 2x version. But it’s up to you <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

You are awesome AddyMilldike for resurrecting Rishloo “Freaks and Animals” from the RBN graves. :excited:

You’re most welcome! I also want to give a shoutout to Rishloo themselves, if it weren’t for their cooperation I would not have been able to release this great track this week!

Try the MIDI cleaner in C3 Con Tools. It may be able to help you with that (I know it can change text events to lyric events for example)

So, not that many issues with Bass and Drums, bass had none I could find with the placement of notes and drums had a few minor issues.

                        Bass:

This one’s fine, I don’t see any issues with it, but do a quick quantization of your whole chart though. There are some spots where the notes aren’t lined up exactly (M82 for example)

                        Drums:

                        M43.3: Wrong tom marker

M64.3: Change the tom here, or the cymbal at M64.4 to let legacy drum players differentiate here.

As for the name, go with what iTunes says. Just because someone plays on a track doesn’t mean they want to be credited (see: Eddie van Halen in Beat It)

I will do the other instruments, but ran out of time for now. So here’s guitar, and the rest to come later.

                          Guitar:

M4-10: Make all GR chords into single Gs. Since 1) They’re muted compared to the other 2 note chords you have here and 2) The single Gs at M11 and M12 onward are the same sound. To make it all consistent.

                          M8.1: There’s 5 descending notes here, not 4.

M20.3: Make these ascending RYB notes on an 8th triplet grid.

M21: Not sure I like these extra notes, it’s very Guitar Hero-esque. Your choice whether or not to keep them.

M39.3: For this and the next beat, use the 8th triplet grid here again. Also at M41.3, M43.3, M45.3, the whole M48.

M64.3: Make the blue a red. Also at M72

M101.1: Move the second yellow down to green.

                          M101.2: Make this OBYR descending

M102.2.25: This note ends at M102.4

M107: Move the YB chord to 107.1.50

M135: Add a trill lane, possibly?

M137: I’d chart it like this: http://i.imgur.com/7WKvetz.png, also note ends at M137.4.50

M146: For the first repetition only, make this go GRYB ascending. Keep the blue where it is and fit the GRY in there.

M183: End the RB chord at 183.2.75 and add two more green notes on a 16th grid starting at M183.3

M184.4: Move the chord to 184.4.5

Can you expand on that? How long into the song does it happen? And what does it sound like?

I realize I may have come off as harsh in my last post. Did not mean that, I just disagreed with what you said. I looked it over once more and adjusted it slightly. I still don’t believe it’s the exact same with each repetition though, it has slight variance.

                                Now, onto the drum playtest!

                                DRUMS

Kicks are played at a steady quarter beat rate nearly throughout the entire song (even with snare) except during breakdown sections. Agreed, I changed it

Every tom fill ends with green pad on downbeat except if followed by breakdown section. I recommend ending every tom fill with BBBBGGG.

7.1.00 – This tom is being hit constantly at a 16th rate, with emphasized hits on only the yellow notes you authored. Either author all greens at 16th or delete blue notes and move yellow to green.

15.1.00 – Continue authoring green toms as stated above. Higher toms can go YBB or RYB with the “forsaken” all-else drum mix. I’ll agree with you that it’s constant 16ths, but I think don’t those start until the pattern at M15 kicks in

24-70 – Blue note with every kick except after a tom fill. It’s not exactly how you charted it, but I’ve changed this part

82.4 – Move to blue Done

83.1 – Move to green, include yellow Done

91.1 – Move blue to yellow Done

                                99.1 – ^ Done

                                103.1 – ^ Done

123.1-130.4 – Continue disco pattern, except move the yellow notes you previously authored to blue. This will make it waaaay too messy for players to hit. I’m already not a fan of charting open to blue, and only do it when it’s fun to hit it. In this case, in my opinion, I do not feel it will benefit me to chart everything here so I’m opting for the accents like I’ve charted.

134.4 – RBYGB (for handicapped sticking) I don’t understand this comment. The fill descends going RRYY[b+K]

I have not updated the con or RPP yet, but I have made some changes. I’m just waiting for the yay or nay of the mods for a way I’ve ended up charting a section.

As far as that 16th pattern, here’s my suggestion for all of them:

Haven’t quite gone through all your drum notes yet, but I disagree with this one. That’s not what’s being played (did you grab this from a MIDI? There was one online that had the exact same pattern.)
