It’s been a while since I’ve posted a full project, but I’m excited to be here today for Chart-a-Thon with Good Kid 3, the 2023 EP from the titular band. This EP continues their usual bright guitar and peppy drums in short but impactful songs. Their iconic sound is alive and well here, and acts as a great extension of their two earlier EPs.
I love the flashy venue I made for this. Runs right up until the slow fade out in the outro.
Heavily inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service. The guitar is the standout here, with great riffs and a short solo part way through.
A fun romp with a fun set of licks on the bass and a fantastic set of outro harmonies.
A bit slower than the other songs on the EP, and also the shortest, but it packs a punch nonetheless.
Some soaring vocals on this one that raise into the ignition sequence. A ton of fun to sing.
A slower paced closer that breaks from the rest of the EP’s style, with layered harmonies over a more somber sound.
