Another brain freeze from an old guy.
d/l a bunch of songs(thanks to all the authors, you do great work, hope someone is working on Tubular Bells) and 3Con Tools did it’s thing and I remembered to put the old DTA file in the Merged Songs folder. No errors when doing all of that. However, all of the older songs now have duplicate entries in the DTA file. I’m not sure if that makes a difference, but I think this will also give you duplicates in the song list in RockBand.
I manually edited them out, but 1) why is this happening(I know it is my fault) and b)is there someway to have 3Con remove the duplicates automatically. Also iii) when I started 3Con up, it said there as a version 4.10 available, but the link (to keepitfishy) did not work. I found another link on the board here, but when I unzipped it, Norton did not like it at all. Is there a valid link to the proper file?
thanks again to everyone from an old rocker
Never Mind. Found it.
Have you used the feature in CON that allows you to look at the songs.dta file and see what is in the file to make sure that the redo of the song made it properly?
This has resolved itself. When I used Chrome, everything was fine, but not with Firefox. When I submitted a thing to Norton, it got fixed.
Hung about 1/2 way through the intro screen(where the band is setting up etc).
It was a hard hang, had to power off to restart it. But it was just that song. Without doing anything else after the restart, I was able to play any other song, so it was definitely something I did to the song file. When I removed it and added the song again using the file I had modded previously(to make a keyboard part playable) it worked fine.Well I screwed something up because when I removed all the lyrics as well as the notes, playing the song hung the game!
Back to try again.Hey Shroud.
Yes you are correct, I did not do a rebuild in Magma.
I did however only remove the notes, not the lyrics, so maybe that is the issue. I will go back and remove it all, and try again.
If that doesn’t work then I guess it will be Magma time!Thank you so much for the Heart songs and the complete Avril album. Please continue making customs I really appreciate them. I look forward to Goodbye Lullaby and Avril Lavigne as full releases as I think these are her best 2 that she has done. Anything from Heart is great to have.

Absolutely.
September 28, 2020 at 12:25 am in reply to: [PS3] Current situation with loop-ending affected songs #514366Mind sending along any CON files you fixed? I may fix the dry vox on some if they’re not generating proper lipsync animations, but you’d be saving me some steps if you’d send the CONs along. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I can send you the modified mid files. You can send me a pm with your email and I can send them to you. I do not have access to a ‘cloud’ site for d/l.
September 26, 2020 at 9:54 pm in reply to: [PS3] Current situation with loop-ending affected songs #514361Ah, now I see. Anyway, I created a new wav file at 16KHz mono for the dryvox in Goldwave and it worked.
Smell Like Nirvana, When Will I Be Loved and Stacy’s Mom all work now.
September 26, 2020 at 7:16 pm in reply to: [PS3] Current situation with loop-ending affected songs #514358Hey Shroud
sorry to bug you again.
When I use Phase Shift, it has ‘Use guitar.ogg’ as a default option. If I run it without that checked, it creates something called song.ogg. They are different sizes. Is there a difference in using one over the other.
Also when I run Magma, it automatically creates a wav file from the ogg file, so if I used an existing wav file, it would just use that I guess.
When I hit create it said that the Dry Vocal track sample rate had to be at 16khz. There is an option on the Phase Shift Converter about Downmix to Stereo Quality. It was defaulted to 5, should it be something different to get it to 16KHz?
thanks again
September 26, 2020 at 6:40 pm in reply to: [PS3] Current situation with loop-ending affected songs #514357You need to use the Phase Shift Converter in the C3 CON Tools. It will extract the audio (reducing it to single-track if not already) to mp3 format. Then use this audio to replace the encrypted one in Magma. It will be perfectly aligned with the tempo map of the midi.
I want to be just like you when I grow up.
thanks
September 26, 2020 at 3:52 pm in reply to: [PS3] Current situation with loop-ending affected songs #514355Remember however that if you have a single track custom (or an unencrypted multitrack) you don’t need to change the midi, just rebuild in Magma and it always works because the old bug at the root of this problem was fixed years ago.
So I opened Magma(yaa, something new to learn), and dragged Smell Like Nirvana onto it. It extracted everything, and then said that the mogg file was encrypted. I then tried 3 Marlenas. Also encrypted. Both of these are single track audio. Is this an authoring option? or is there something else I need to do? Magma also asked for my Authoring ID, which it said was on my profile, but the number on the profile was not accepted.
