Hi! I’m a former C3 customs user who has been spurred into action by the recent announcement of the [impending] end of official HMX DLC. I just dug my old 360 out of its hiding place and have verified that it still works, and now I’m trying to recreate my old “get new customs” workflow. Unfortunately, my old PC is gone and I need some help getting that moving. I’ve found the RhythmVerse and the old Score Hero instruction page, but I still have some need for experienced user help. I see that there may be a Discord Server, but I’m having trouble finding it. The link at the top of this post no longer works. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You gotta know how to find the right online players! Facebook isn’t the greatest thing in the world, but I’ve found plenty of fun and DLC-loaded people to play with. There are several groups that are worth checking out, from casuals to the insanely talented, top of the leaderboards types. I never did much like the randoms – most of them only wanted to play “Timmy” and A7x.

While many of the things you mention bother me (practice mode, sorting), I don’t play the game – at all – because I can’t play pro drums with my e-kit. Too bad, because I’d buy every single piece of DLC if I could. At this point I no longer have any hope that the situation will be fixed any time soon. Heck, I bet the Cubs will win the NL pennant first.

In keeping with the pledge I made back in January(?) when the first DLC was released in 2015, I just bought these too. So far I have purchased everything released by HMX in 2015. Why? To support the company. It really is the only way we can do our part to make sure the genre lives on.

            I take your point.

Been listening to the Alabama Shakes track on the local corporate “alt-rock” station for the better part of the last year. It’s a great song, but man have I heard enough of it! Still gonna buy it eventually. B.B. has always been a winner. I’ll have to check out the other two as the title/artist are unknown to this old guy.

I’ll probably try to chase down as many of them as I can, eventually – it could take a while!

No idea at all. I waited until the game was installed, used the in-game store (browse by artist) and only grabbed songs that I really enjoy playing for now. Once I’m done with the tour and things are sorted out better – if they ever are – I’ll go back & grab the rest. I would think that I’d be somewhere in the 2000+ range.

Has anyone been able to get E drums to work on Xbone & RB4 yet ??

I just can’t see myself going back to the toy set !!!

I dusted off an old DocsRockBandMods GHWT-drum-controller-based adapter – the one with a midi-in port, and to my mild surprise it works, even if it’s only as a non-pro option. At least I’m not using the midget sized kit. I am having some issues with sensitivity and/or crosstalk, but after a few tries, I managed to get gold stars on a song.

So I guess you can say that I have an e-kit working in RB4. Sort of.

I have the BiB on the way, along with an adapter, but having my stupidly expensive e-kit – my favorite instrument by far – unavailable for play out of the (X)box has got me pretty unexcited about 4. I’ll probably just dump the package (whenever Amazon gets around to sending it to me) in the storage closet and keep on playing RB3 on the 360, which I already don’t do very much anymore.

I finally had a chance to play a few of these and all I can say is: THANK YOU! and AWESOME! Drumming along to Feeling That Way/Anytime actually gave me chills. Such a good time. Lights is pretty freaking sweet, too.

THANK YOU again to both DoNotPassGo and Nyxyxylyth and anyone else that touched FTW/A! You guys ROCK!

I was poking around in my input folder, just trying to weed out some of the problem RBHP songs that freeze up my console whenever they get picked (Less Talk More Rokk, The Broken, and Back in Black (Live)). I can’t see what is wrong with the first two, so I just deleted the folders – but the AC/DC track has two .mid files: backinblack_live_plus.mid and backinblacklive_plus.mid. Is this a problem? If so which one do I delete?

What I did to avoid hitting that 2952 limit when doing upgrades is split all the harmonix dlc on one hard drive and then put the RBN on another hard drive.

That’s similar to what i do, Nick – my USB stick holds what I call “non-party” songs. Most of them are from RBN. Means I have to be choosy about which of your awesome PD fixes I grab!

I deleted a bunch (something like 30 to 40) of prodrums updates from my RBHP input folder, rebuilt everything and re-updated and everything seems fine now. I’m a little leery about what’s gonna happen as I get even closer to the 2952 limit. I already have to use a USB stick to keep about 1000 song files out of the way during my RBHP updates.

                                  Anyway, thanks for the help!
