Found this. I still don’t get what you mean by:
Am I to type this under the other wadpacker arguments in the packdlc.bat batch file? I’ve already copied the necessary .app files to my packer. So if I had a total of 3 of those .apps, would I type something like:
wadpacker BIN# 3I think I figured it out. It took me a while – I guess I had a brain fart or something.
The BIN# is just the placeholder you’re supposed to replace with the actual BIN number.
Also, the 1 at the end of the line should always stay as 1.
For example, the BIN number for the song ‘All the Small Things’ is 009.bin.
So, you’d put the following line into the packdlc.bat file or create a shortcut to wadpacker.exe and put the following into the command line (Target field):
wadpacker 009 1

@echo offwadpacker 009 1del RB2_DLC_*del title.waddel 000.binSo, just an update on my situation regarding customs on my emuNAND (which uses APP files). I gave up on trying to use the “extra” slots for custom songs. I tried so many different things, but I could never get the Wii to actually see the songs I added . Now, I’m just overwriting existing sZFE (and sZAE, etc.) slots for my customs and they work perfectly.
Based on my searches through this thread, it looks like I wasn’t the only one unable to get the extra slots to work on emuNAND. It’s a shame, but at least using the existing slots works.
Also, I found that using USB Loader GX with emuNAND support to launch RB3 seems to reliably freeze when it starts on the 1st song in the “Loading New Downloaded Content” process. To get around this, I start RB3 using Uniiloader through my emuNAND. After the “Loading New Downloaded Content” process completes, I’m free to use USB Loader GX without freezing anytime afterwards as long as the game doesn’t need to create the cache again.
E/ The sheer frequency of the “buzz of death” when just browsing through official DLC in the Song List got to be too much for me (hard freeze and it takes FOREVER to load the game back up on emuNAND) and there does not seem to be any fix. Based on previous posts from people who’ve tried DLC with emuNAND, it looks like I’m not the only one with this issue. Over the span of multiple weeks, I’ve tried so many things to get emuNAND to work right, but there would always be some kind of game-breaking issue. I really wish emuNAND wasn’t so glitchy with RB3 since packing songs is so much more convenient.
Anyways, I’ve since gone back to loading DLC (customs and officials) from the SD card and have had no issues… so far.

There’s an old executable out there (maybe on an old Google Code site) for unpacking BIN files from store-downloaded DLC. Then you could transfer your BIN DLC to app DLC. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for post-RB3 DLC. I’d like to figure it out, but Dolphin is unable to emulate the SD card functionality properly for me to investigate.

I think I’ve got my emulated NAND working (I’m using neek2o, to be exact), but I’m having trouble getting any songs to show up in Rock Band 3. I got used to the flow of adding songs via SD, so I didn’t think I’d have any trouble doing the equivalent with the NAND setup, but I’ve had no luck so far.
I made sure to put the APP files in the correct NAND folder, added the 26 APP file and all the title and tik files as per the original post, but I can’t see any songs in-game. Can anyone help me figure out what’s going wrong here? Thanks!
Does anyone know of a way to convert existing BIN files to APP files? I’m in the process of setting up an emulated NAND in the hopes of ending stuttering on songs of larger sizes. However, I already have many songs from the official music store downloaded on my SD card in BIN format. How can I convert these over to APP files so they work on my emulated NAND setup? Downloading each individual one from the music store again will take a ridiculous amount of time…
No; you have to respect the filesizes when using the SD card method.
If you want bigger filesizes you need to use the emulated NAND method instead; which requires a usb drive.
I’m considering switching to the emulated NAND method. However, I’ve noticed that even using the SD card method, any songs that are greater than 30 MB (but still less than 40 M:cool: stutter like mad, making them unplayable, but at the very least, they still load in successfully. With the emulated NAND method, do songs still stutter like this?
Also, can anyone recommend an up-to-date emulated NAND installion method? I’ve noticed that tutorials for things like SNEEK can’t be completed because the files they require are unable to be obtained due to their age.
Interestingly, I’ve been finding that any tracks I have that are specifically between 34 MB and 40 MB stutter and hiccup despite being under under the 40 MB limit for SD card songs.
Unfortunately, the particular songs that I have that suffer from this issue were converted from Xbox 360 content, and I’m unable to modify the MOGGs in Audacity…
I wonder if I should try to move to an Virtual NAND setup or if that would be too much trouble for the problem I’m having? Plus, I wonder if I’d have to download all my DLC again?
