Now please, for the love of god, stop trying to twist everything I say into a personal attack

I got nothing else to say to that other than after two years on these forums, I’ve learned from some of the best people at taking what others say and turning it into personal attacks.

I am not here to take your Xbox away even if I don’t plan to buy one myself

You wouldn’t dare take my precious away.

Without Pro Keys, I have zero interest in next-gen Rock Band. Sad but true.

You know…they clearly said this is a platform and they have long term plans for it. They’ve also said that if there’s enough demand for things, that they might bring them back or bring them in. With that in mind, you’re not helping keys return by NOT buying RB4. Instead, you should buy RB4, play it so they see the usage, and continue to voice your opinion on their forums.

Actions speak louder than words. “Harmonix I bought RB4, and I’m ready to pay for DLC that adds Keys support” is a whole different message to them than “I’m not buying RB4 until and unless you add Keys support.” If that makes sense.

Since you’re so learned, perhaps you should chart this?

The title seems fitting right now

This video may be inappropriate for some users.

I also remember hearing something along the lines of “if you have to resort to profanity, you’ve already lost the argument.”

But hey, let’s get back on topic. I’m not that excited that Rock Band 4 is coming out when it is. I need it earlier. I need at least two months of playing time before November, damn it.

I’m excited about Rock Band 4. I still don’t have an Xbox One, but I will purchase one for RB4. Since I *MUCH* prefer multi-tracks over mp3s due to the core gameplay immersion factor of having the instrument cut out when you miss a note, it doesn’t matter to me if the entire on-disc setlist is already available here as customs, I will love the multi-track treatment for them!

And I’m a pro-g/b player too. Rocksmith has been doing a good job with the IRL stuff so HMX getting back to core gameplay is prolly a good choice.

Eh, the lack of keys/pro-keys really lowered my excitement level quite a bit. I bought an XBox One a while back (had to get that Halo MCC) and I currently own an XBox 360 so the DLC compatibility and hopeful instrument compatibility are pluses. But, I really only play with at least 4 friends having one less person able to play is really a bummer. Also, the fact that keys won’t work on EXISTING DLC I have already bought for an older game really sucks too. I understand not making it for future songs but man, at least make old songs that HAD keys still have them. Oh well, like Trojan maybe they will add in keys support at some point. I will still most likely pick it up if the setlist/features look awesome enough for me to spend the money on it.

Very true… I remember when RB3 came out and there was no stage kit support. Ther was a similar outrage to the keys situation where a very small group of people begged, pleaded and complained until eventually we were all rocking out on RB3 with full stage kit glory.

I would imagine that the keys people are way larger in population than the stage kit people were. More people will probably be needed to get keys support back, due to the work involved in charting the keys, providing the peripheral, etc., but is definitely not impossible. The stage kit getting patched for RB3 was proof that Harmonix will listen to the diehard fans pleas.

Also, to stay on topic, I can’t wait to see what Harmonix has in store for us for the current gen. I have a PS4 right now and will be buying an XBone solely for RB4.

I really think they will, simply because they have such a large number of people actively clamoring for it. But that’s only going to happen if the core game does well. If they lose money, they won’t add anything else.

I got to RB3 some months after it had come out and they had already patched in Stage Kit support. I can’t imagine the game not having had it

I’ll hold my breath until there’s reception for it first. I don’t have any consoles for the game yet, but I’m glad to see what they’re trying to do to make compatibilities in some areas.

Meh, I’m enjoying the Xbox One’s interface more

OH MY GOD is the Xbox One’s interface better! I can understand if people want PS4s for the games (cause there are some pretty great ones) but in terms of cleanliness and constant update to UI, the Xbox One is fucking amazing.

You know, as I was driving home, listening to my young adult, empowered female protagonist post-apocalyptic audiobook Ruins, I couldn’t help but reflect on this and think that maybe I was too harsh.

I don’t want you to get the feeling that I am out to get you. I certainly don’t want to be feared or loathed by the general community. I promise in real life I’m a very sweet, calm guy. So what if I went to jail, one time, for attacking a school bus full of children with a baseball bat. I was young, we all make mistakes, right?. The important thing is I learned my lesson: if you pee on the first guy that tries to intimidate you in jail, nobody else bothers you.

In any case, I wanted to apologize. You can go ahead and add me as a foe, and that will hide my posts. I pinky promise I won’t mock you publicly and I won’t create forum drama about you while you can’t see my posts. Because in the end, I’m here for the entertainment, and it’s not nearly as much fun when I get the last word

                    I bought GH1, 2, 3, 80’s, RB1, RB2, ACDC RB, LRB, TB:RB, GD:RB, RB3 all on day one., so I’m a big fan of the RB franchise.

I have 28 consoles (from NES to PS3-XB360) but not yet PS4, XBO or WI-U

                    I play RB on XB360.

I prefere to buy a PS4 than a XBO, but I can buy an XBO just for RB4 to keep my previous DLC and instrument compatibility.

I don’t care for pro guitar/bass but the lack of key is a cold shower for me.

An other thing is I can’t complain about lose customs compatibility (because it is not legal and can can be piracy at some point), but lose hamony for pre-RB3 songs would be make me sad.

So a this point, I have interest in RB4, but I prefere wait for more details (maybe at E3) to be exited or disapointed.

We don’t know now what new features, songs, or game mode will be in this game so we can’t have a good judgement.

I couldn’t give a rats ass about it honestly. Removing Keys and making it PS4/Xbone only made it a deal breaker,

                      This.

Given that we had some tension yesterday I want to be very clear on this: it’s a genuine question about your habits, I have no interest in criticizing people not buying the game, I’m just curious about the thought process. So…

I’m wondering about the people quitting the franchise because of keys and how they came to the conclusion. Have you only played RB3 because the previous games didn’t have keys or did you come to gradually only play keys with RB3 making the other instruments not interesting anymore? Or is it more of a “with no full band experience it’s not worth it anymore for me” thing? Does this also mean that apart from RB3 customs your foray in the rhythm games world is over or will you transition to dance or Blitz-like games or to other games that offer some kind of support for keys?
