I’d go in and manually erase the song from the cache, but don’t know how feasible that is. Otherwise, you can edit the song_id in DTA if the problem persists.

Tried editing the song ID and still no luck. I don’t know of a way to just delete these songs from my cache. Any suggestions? And just to make sure I’m doing this right…I extracted the DTA file, copied and pasted it into notepad, edited the song id, saved and replaced the old id, re injected the song on my usb. Is this correct?

You can try deleting the song while in your song list in the game. I think that deletes it from the cache.

I deleted the first version without vocals from the hard drive in the xbox menu andthencopied the new version and had no issue.

I’ve tried deleting in game, deleting the old versions from my usb, and still got nothing. The old versions are the only ones that appear. Still can’t figure it out.

I’m sure when you guys figure it out, you’ll kick yourselves for how easy it was.

 

There are two possibilities here: 1) you’re not changing the song ID correctly…does C3 CON Tools reflect the song ID change?, or 2) you actually have more than one copy of the song on your Xbox and it’s only loading the old one.

 

Either way, why are you guys so attached to scores that only you can see on songs that you play with fake instruments on a 4 year old game? Learn to let go of the song cache and life becomes so much easier.

 

Also, and in no small part inspired by this thread, next update to C3 CON Tools will make changing song IDs a one-click process.

Well I’m not sure that I was editing the song ID properly (see one of my previous posts). As for the second point I have erased all copies of the songs.

 

As for the song cache I just like to see my star achievements in my library. Not for any other reason than just because I want it.

Can I look at your cache? I did this just today to do an in-place sort of upgrade to my copy and it seems to have worked well. Also, there is a new version up that corrects some minor lyric issues.

Well I deleted all forms of the songs (USB and on my computer) and re downloaded them. I haven’t put them through Party Buffalo yet. I’ll try that again and keep you posted before I have you go through any trouble.

I thought about doing this one. However, the remixed Quick Man Stage also contains 3 tracks and I will be doing that one. So, maybe more of them later? Maybe.
