I’m glad everyone is enjoying the releases! Thanks for all the kind words. They made me smile. Like this:

Is the Bleed It Out released this week the same one found in the thread by Oreo?

The answer to this question is always the same: no. C3 release are not duplicates of songs released in the Other Customs subforum.

Just to add on a bit to this. I was unaware of any other versions in the Other Customs forum when I took on this song. I took the original GH charts/tracks, and brought them up to RB standards, while fixing a few other things that bothered me and adding in harmonies, keys and the custom venue. If ever I use anyone else’s existing customs/work in a release, the original author will be credited, like Pearlized Pistol was when I got his charts for parts of “Remember the Name.”

On that note, if anything looks like it’s not HMX-level quality, please don’t dismiss it as “oh GH” or the like. Submit a bug report and I’ll be all over that.

Do tell me off if im talking out of line here, but Filtered by the Sky, do you plan on releasing “Nightmare”?

A request/inquiry for more of any CTA RBN artist I bring is never out of line to me! I actually had no plans beyond these two songs, mainly because I was focused on just getting them released. However, I’ll pass along the request to Ted (BEQ/FbtS bassist) and if he’s willing to provide the multitracks, I’ll do it. “Nightmare” is a great song.

Oh. My. Lord. I was just thinking about how much fun Remember the Name would be in Rock Band like a week and a half ago. This is awesome. Thanks a bunch Arc.

Also, we now have all the pre-RB3 disc releases completed through RBHP. That’s worth mentioning too, methinks. Awesome week all around.

So I just downloaded the Bleed It Out file for Phase Shift, and the resulting file wasn’t a multitrack at all. It was a single track with all instruments with uncensored lyrics. The database lists it as a Full Multitrack. Is this an error, or intentional?

Intentional. PS will get multitracks for songs authors have clearance from the band, otherwise it’s gonna be a mixdown.

For future reference for you or anyone else, anything listed on the database applies to the Xbox version, which is the core of the audience and the testing platform. All other limitations caused by the conversion process to other systems is not going to be listed in the database because we wouldn’t have the resources to do it. Worst case scenario though is probably just the mixdown for the few multitracks we can get our hands on.

So even though Bleed it Out is already available in multitrack form for Guitar Hero, if you don’t have permission to post them, they still won’t be uploaded? Interesting to know. I recall a large library of straight multitrack conversions of GH songs made in the past, so I assume the PS versions that were made back then still stay up.

Thanks to both of you for being informative. I’ll keep the stuff you said in mind in the future.
