March 7, 2014 at 9:26 am #415212In theory it should work. Our DLC files are pretty damn close to official HMX files, and it is possible to access the internal file system with a 3k3y.
If it doesn’t work…then I just wasted a lot of money. The guy installing it told me he’s finally starting on it today, and it should be done for tomorrow. So fingers crossed ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Yeah, I’m crossing fingers! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Please post if it works or not…
March 8, 2014 at 8:59 am #415271Great work guys! I never tough we will be able to play custom songs on PS3, and now it gives me opportunity to play some of my favorite songs in my favorite game!
One more question, I realized that when I make a set-list and finish custom songs, stars (score) doesn’t save next time I come in Rock Band. They are all marked as they never been played… so my score isn’t saved, do you know what is the problem?
March 8, 2014 at 9:48 am #415272I’m having problem on my PS3 with song Maroon 5 – She will be loved, it loads fine, then at some point during play there’s some corrupt part where song skips and gets out of sync, and then stops, and if you go back to music library after that PS3 hangs.
Tried to redownload but it didn’t help. I used con file and converted to PS3
March 8, 2014 at 10:26 am #415273Hmm…that’s not something I’ve encountered. Unfortunately I still don’t have my PS3 so I’m not much help…I do know the PS3 version of Rock Band 3 doesn’t have a cache like the Wii/360 versions of the game, and this may have something to do with it. I’ll have to get back to you once I get my PS3 fixed.
March 8, 2014 at 10:29 am #415275Did you convert the CON with the latest version of CON Tools that allows pausing/practice? The old audio format is really the only thing I can think of that would be causing that problem.

I’ll keep you posted if it doesn’t save in particular songs or just when I make set-list or something else.
Some songs progress where saved fine, and some not.

That would be great if you could keep me posted. When I get my system back I’ll do some testing as well.
Also, all songs that are on the database are FIXED ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> I’ll try and get around to updating the database with the rest of the songs soon.
March 12, 2014 at 2:22 pm #415448Yes. It caused my PS3 to hang twice. I had this song converted before pause/resume fix, but then I re-downloaded all songs I wanted again, deleted all songs from rock band directory except the one that comes with the free package, and converted them with new tools, but that song still sounded like it’s corrupted at one part and then all freezes.
March 13, 2014 at 5:23 am #415490Hmm…alright, I’ll have to take a look at it then and get back to you. Thanks for the information!

Confirmed some songs doesn’t give me stars even tho I’ve finished them playing with band (guitar, drums). Example songs that doesn’t give me stars are: Cyndi Lauper – Time After Time, That Dont Impress Me Much – Shania Twain, Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast – Airbourne
March 22, 2014 at 8:32 am #415986hope this helps you finding solution for that problem and what’s wrong inside those songs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
March 24, 2014 at 3:16 am #416116I do appreciate it, thanks. I still don’t have a working PS3, but once I do I will definitely look into it.
March 24, 2014 at 11:40 am #416124I still don’t have a working PS3…So I guess it doesn’t work just with 3K3y, does it?
Right now my PS3 is hacked and I plan to put some C3 songs on it asap.
I just downloaded the HMX songs from the PSN store and they work fine on it.
But as you may remember I have a PAL hardware with a NTSC game. So it will be challenging to run the C3 songs…

No, I don’t use 3K3Y. I have cfw 4.50 rogero. Well I downloaded lot’s of customs and most of them gives me stars and progress is saved. but those few songs I mentioned give me stars when I finish them, but once I restart rock band stars are gone as I never played them.
I will test few more songs, so you can compare what’s different in those.
March 24, 2014 at 3:23 pm #416138Although I aimed at TDCMark with my post I understand what you wrote in the upper posts.
I just have finished hacking my PS3. So I don’t have much experience in how it works.
I use Rogero 4.55 and until now all went fine. But I didn’t try RockBand 3 for now.
When I got a bit more experience I will try the songs you described and give a feedback if it works or not. If not it looks like a problem based on the song data. If it works probably your “old” CFW could be the problem…
To be honest, I don’t care about getting golden stars or not, because I like to play local with other guys just for fun. But on the other hand it would be nice if the songs work perfect with stars. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
