“Hasbro announces global launch of Dropmix scheduled for September

Hasbro announced the September 2017 global launch of DROPMIX, a music mixing
game. Developed in collaboration with video game developer Harmonix Music
Systems, Inc., creators of Rock Band and Dance Central, DROPMIX uses
cutting-edge technology that empowers players to create unique mixes of songs by
playing cards on a game board connected to a mobile app.”

      Cool?

      Lame?

      Thoughts.

Video games with real trading cards are such a short-lived niche from what I’ve observed. I’m not holding my breath for this one.

        No thank you,

I’ll stick to mixing songs on my Pioneer DJ controller & Serato software !

        Sounds Lame to me…….

A game board and a App

I think the real questions is…

          Gamestop or Toys ‘R’ Us?

              Agree with naginal

I don’t think Harmonix understands that Rock Band is basically what keeps them afloat now lol

TRU, but I don’t think anybody shops there anymore.

I’m sure Chris Rigopulos, their CFO, knows slightly better than anyone of us what keeps them afloat considering, you know, he has the balance at hand and, you know, we don’t.

I’m not sure what to make of this but my days of buying packs of cards and game boards are long, long over. So it’s probably not aimed at me.

No, please don’t, so we can continue to exist as a website.

Ouch. They don’t tho unless it’s Xmas. Or need the Switch or Hatchimals.

Funny enough they made a video several years ago joking about a Rock Band card game. What a day to say now.

I wouldn’t be so quick to bash it. It looks like a fun music-oriented board game. I probably won’t end up buying it anytime soon (if at all) but I’m sure this would be fun for a lot of people.

Does anyone in that video even still work at Harmonix?

Looks interesting. I’m willing to wait until it is released to judge it.
