It is now time for the cover songs!

“Day of Fate -Spirit VS Spirit (feat. Ani Djirdjirian & Paulo Cuevas)” by TeamFourStar charted by ProfessorBass (Download Link)
ProfessorBass writes: “The English cover of Spirit vs Spirit by TeamFourStar, the people behind Dragon BallZ Abridged.”
“Behind Blue Eyes” by Limp Bizkit charted by TheOreo (Download Link)

TheOreo writes: “Once voted by Rolling Stone readers as the “second worst cover of all time”, the Limp Bizkit version of The Who’s ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ was still a big hit on the radio in my home countries of Australia and New Zealand, and I had enough nostalgia for it to bring it to rhythm games. Enjoy it in all its meat-headed glory!”
“Boyz-n-the Hood” by Dynamite Hack charted by RyanHYK (Download Link)
RyanHYK writes: “In the year 2000, when white guys rapping was finally starting to catch on, Dynamite Hack decided to take a different approach, presenting a mellow acoustic cover of Eazy E’s “The Boyz-n-the Hood”, brilliantly listed as simply “Boyz-n-the Hood” on their sophomore album “Superfast”. “Boyz-in-the Hood” would go on to be their biggest hit, peaking at #12 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts. For reference, E’s original peaked at #14 on the Billboard Rap charts. …what is wrong with us?”
“Nothing Else Matters” by Miley Cyrus charted by ProfessorBass (Download Link)
ProfessorBass writes: “The cover of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters from the Black Album covered by Miley Cyrus with the help of WATT, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Robert Trujillo & Chad Smith.”
“Stay with Me” by Ado charted by Suc (Download Link)
Suc writes: “Charted mainly for Clone Hero/YARG and converted to RB3. Guitar, Bass, Pro Drums, and Vocals charted.”
“Some Guys Have All the Luck” by Rod Stewart charted by Riqitch (Download Link)
“Yhtenä Iltana” by Sara charted by VeeKiraRay (Download Link)
VeeKiraRay writes: “Sara’s 2011 cover of Hector’s 1990 classic “Yhtenä iltana” transforms the melancholic original into a darker, atmospheric alternative‑rock piece commissioned for the film Roskisprinssi.”
“Juodaan Vinaa” by Korpiklaani charted by VeeKiraRay (Download Link)
VeeKiraRay writes: “Korpiklaani’s 2009 rendition of Juodaan viinaa is a folk‑metal cover of Hector’s 1990 drinking‑song classic. While known as one of Finland’s most iconic drinking songs, the lyrics mix humor with themes of everyday struggle, aging, and escapism giving the song more emotional weight beneath its boisterous surface.”
“Fukai Mori” by JILUKA charted by Fbs13 (Download Link)
Fbs13 writes: “Originally performed by ‘Do As Infinity'”
“Lucretia My Reflection” by Warrel Dane charted by devomeister (Download Link)

devomeister writes: “I’m a huge fan of metal covers of non-metal tunes. This is one of two covers on the late, great Warrell Dane’s (Nevermore) solo album “Praises to the War Machine” (the other cover on the album is “Patterns” by Paul Simon)
This one hews pretty close to the original 1988 goth rock tune by Sisters of Mercy, but heavies things up, and adds a good bit of energy to the proceedings. The results were a standout track on the album, and a blast to play in Rock Band.”
“Defying Gravity” by Punk Rock Factory charted RyanHYK (Download Link)
RyankHYK writes: “Punk Rock Factory are a couple of Welsh lads who love converting beloved songs ingrained in our pop culture into pop-punk bangers. Whether it be Disney tunes, 90’s cartoon theme songs, or, in the case of their 2023 album “It’s Just a Stage We’re Going Through”, Broadway showtunes. Here, they present “Defying Gravity”, the famed Act I closer from Wicked. Don’t worry vocalists, the guitarist will be the one handling the closing war cry.”
“Different Drum” by the Lemonheads charted by Yaniv297 (Download Link)
Yaniv297 writes: “When this event was announced, at first I was a bit lost. I’m not a big fan of covers in general, tend to like the original in most cases, so I had to actually go digging through my WIP list to look for inspiration. That’s when I stumbled on this one. “Different Drum” was written by Mike Nesmith and first made famous by Linda Ronstadt & the Stone Poneys in 1967 – a gentle folk-pop song about not being ready for love. The Lemonheads covered it on their 1990 EP Favourite Spanish Dishes and made it completely their own – jangly, warm and pretty, and it became one of their signature songs. It’s one of those “really pretty songs with a lot of distortion” and it’s great to sing and play. So hope you enjoy it :)”
“Umbrella” by Manic Street Preachers charted by Yaniv297 (Download Link)
Yaniv297 writes: “As much as I love the Lemonheads track, I wasn’t sure it fully captured the spirit/intention of the event. Yes, it’s a cover, but pretty niche, and I suspected the spirit of the thing was more about much more recognizable songs getting cool new versions. Than I discovered the Manic Street Preachers covering Rihanna’s “Umbrella.” How the band that made The Holy Bible, one of the darkest albums ever, ended up covering Rihanna – it’s a long story we won’t get into. But it’s a lot of fun! The Manics stamp their unmistakable sound all over it, with awesome vocals by James Dean Bradfield, and there’s a pretty cool and challenging guitar solo toward the end too. I won’t claim it beats Rihanna’s version, but it is unquestionably a better fit for Rock Band – swapping out that pop production for something you can actually rock with your plastic instruments. Enjoy!”
“All I Wanna Do is Make Love to You” by Halestorm charted by JIManji (Download Link)
“Just Like Heaven” by Dinosaur Jr. charted by jphn (Download Link)
“Crime and Punishment” by Ado charted by Suc (Download Link)
Suc writes: “Charted mainly for Clone Hero/YARG and converted to RB3. Guitar, Bass, Pro Drums, and Vocals charted. Compared to my CH version, the drums are just the “hard” difficulty version.”
“Rolling in the Deep” by Go Radio charted by TomGuy (Download Link)
“Un Beso Y Una Flor” by Vico C charted by Qweflol (Download Link)
“En Mi Coche” by División Minúscula charted by andrewetg (Download Link)
andrewetg writes: “”Que No Quede Huella” and “En Mi Coche” are covers by the band “División Minúscula” from Matamoros, Mexico. Within the music scene that this band promoted in Mexico in the 2000s, these covers are considered classics, being reinterpretations of artists like “Bronco” and “Hombres G”.”
“Que No Quede Huella” by División Minúscula charted by Qweflol (Download Link)
“Desde Lo Alto (Acoustic Version)” by Valiente charted by andrewetg (Download Link)
andrewetg writes: “”Desde Lo Alto” is an acoustic interpretation of the song by the Mexican band Aurum. This version, performed by Valiente, maintains the essence and feeling of the original song, blending it with the melancholy of the sound brought to life by an acoustic guitar and his voice.”
“Tragedy” by Steps charted by JIManji (Download Link)
“I Fought the Law” by Green Day charted by RongoIK (Download Link)

RongoIK writes: “You might know at this point that for various rhythm games and projects, custom lipsync has been cracked. I myself create lipsync for The Beatles: Rock Band Custom DLC Project, but for Rock Band 3, this might be the first ever custom to include completely hand made and polished lipsync throughout the entire song! Several customs in the past have had eyebrow animations and small fixes, but this custom contains motion capture and hand editing all done in Unreal Engine and Blender! This method is still VERY new and VERY janky at the moment due to a lack of higher quality models to use. I would love to see it become much more user friendly… so if you happen to know anyone with experience rigging or importing models with correct blend shapes, please hit me up on discord! It took many weeks to perfect it, so I hope it’s at least at Harmonix standards!
Aside from the lipsync, I had originally released this song back in 2018 for C3 Generations. This custom is completely redone, so I please request that you install this new version if you happened to download the entire Generations pack back in the day!
PS: JimmyEatWaffles is the genius behind the tools for manual lipsync creation, I’m simply but someone who dares to use it… also, sorry about the long ass paragraph”
“Winterlong” by Pixies charted by jphn (Download Link)
