Nightmare Lyre and TrojanNemo bring us two All That Remains songs this week — “Six”, a classic from GH2, and “The Air That I Breathe”, a new custom from the same album. These two songs join a whopping nine existing ATR tracks for a new total of eleven! Dang. If you only have the official DLC 3-pack, check out the five ATR songs available on RBN from Overcome and For We Are Many! (Six’s FtV release includes drums, vocals, keys, and harmonies, as well as fully multitracked stems engineered from GH2’s stems by TrojanNemo. It’s a brand-new RB3-featured custom, so we recommend using it over any existing “Six” customs you have.)
On the opposite end of the music spectrum is Bruno Mars, whose debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans sold, like, a bajillion copies. RyanHYK brings us “Runaway Baby” from that album, which was never released as a single, but is still super catchy! It’s very different than Bruno Mars’s (possibly?) signature sound as heard in “Grenade”, though. Check it out!
Kyuss, if you didn’t know, was basically Josh Homme’s thing before QotSA — he’s the band’s guitarist. He also sued the crap out of the rest of the band when they tried to reunite Kyuss without him in 2010! Stay classy, Josh. BearzUnlimited doesn’t care about any of that crap, though, and just wants you to enjoy the ’90s metal/rock/grunge sound of “Gardenia”. This is Bearz’s second C3 contribution, after last week’s release of QotSA’s “The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret”.
Closing us out this week is farottone with a song that we might have seen if Pearl Jam: Rock Band had panned out: “Yellow Ledbetter”. This song sounds a lot like the well-known singles from Ten, and that’s no coincidence, because it was originally penned for that album. We got tons of Pearl Jam in RB, but it was all from Ten and Backspacer, so here’s your chance to expand your PJ horizons! (This track has received a layer of polish since its original release to bring it up to C3 standards.)
