Your setup didn’t work because the keyboard didn’t forward all of the MIDI events from the guitar to your MPA device. Pro guitar sends both SysEx events and regular note on/off events. The game uses the SysEx events to determine left hand position, right hand strums, and hardware type (Mustang vs. Squier). The note on/off events contain the velocity and pitch of each note, which most MIDI devices would be able to interpret.
I think using a splitter would be the simplest and best solution here.
The GHtoRB3 project predates C3 and a good chunk also predate Nemo’s RB3 tools so a lot of the charts weren’t ran across MAGMA validation. You’ll need to correct those errors yourself.
any ideas how to do this on xbox one maxton?
You’re asking for the impossible right there.
I also have an RGH. Like Alternity said, you must convert the customs to LIVE and place them in the 00000002 directory for RB3. Best part of using an RGH is also being able to play customs in Blitz. As for custom textures, most of the game’s assets are stored in milo archives. On PS3/Xbox 360, textures are encoded as DXT1 and DXT5 formats. Currently there are no publicly available tools that allow file replacement of ark and milo entries for Rock Band 3. But I hear there’s one handsome dude still hacking away at the games.
This is cool
So you’re just using your PSP as a USB device? I thought from the title you had converted the RB Unplugged songs to Xbox 360 STFS packages.
Well you can probably accomplish it on any platform as long as you’re using a hacked console. RB1 uses a different format for lipsync so I have no idea how you’d get that working. All of the venue events will need to be translated too. Most of the fields in the DTA file are the same but some will need to be updated or removed.
Huh. An update for CON tools? Any chance the source code you posted last year was also updated? I’m asking because I cloned the public repository and started restructuring the project for a continuous integration build. Unfortunately I don’t have enough free time to work on RB tools at the moment but I just wanted to get it set up for others to more easily contribute.

Is it sad that I just now noticed the default button colors in C3 Con Tools line up with the guitar fret colors?
Same. (I’m so sorry, Nemo)
I’m wondering how long until we see customs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Thank you, Nemo, for the many hours of sleep you gave up developing these tools. I hope you’re enjoying retirement. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

“Sprode” – Freezepop
“Where’s Gary?” – SpongeBob SquarePants
Now’s your last chance to support Harmonix by buying these songs! [source]
Guitar Hero 3 … Back when I played on a controller!
Guitar Hero 3 was actually developed by Neversoft. It came out the same year Rock Band 1 did. Harmonix’s last GH game was Encore: Rocks the 80’s.
