in reply to: Problem with audio #497352

The audio encoder, rather than Magma itself, finds 3 audio tracks and thinks “OMG it’s a 2.1 audio configuration! Quick, let’s use the third track (backing) as the low-frequency track in a 2.1 configuration”. And then hell ensues.

I believe that is the first time I have ever heard this phenomenon explained. Thank you!! Now it actually makes sense. Leave it to the master to drop some knowledge on us.

    Hey there Rockers,

Wednesday has finally returned to the Funhouse. In my area, we had an ice-storm over the weekend, so I’m a little behind. This week is full of awesome!! I’ll make sure I don’t waste time and we’ll get right to the good stuff!! Just in time for 420!!

Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short

I apologize for not dropping in frequently enough in this amazing place. You guys are a gift to the community from the Gods of Rhythm Gaming!

We learned from the best! Thank you! We are just trying to live up to the excellent example set by the fore-fathers of this great site. You all gave us so much joy. It is wonderful to try to match that for others. We hope all the “Peeps” dig our work. We just try to use the gifts we were given to make this as much fun as we can for all the Rockers out there.

Coming from the person in the customs world I hold with the most regard, that is incredible praise. Years of the weekly thing can get tough to keep going and it is posts like this that keep us working so hard at it. We hope everyone is still enjoying all this thread offers.

    Rock on!!!

Welcome to a special RockFight update!

We go right to Gordon Carray at the RockFight offices. We see Gordon standing between two large screen monitors. Let’s see what Gordon has to say.

GC -“Welcome RockFight fans! I’m here live at the RockFight offices. A few month ago, it was put to a vote and the results showed that the fans wanted to see Sebastian Bach of Skid Row do battle in the RockFight ring again. I’m now joined by Sebastian Bach via satellite from somewhere in Canada.”

The monitor now shows Sebastian Bach wearing an earpiece and ready to speak with Gordon.

GC -“Welcome Sebastian! We are so glad you could join us.”
SB – “Hello Gordo, how’s it hangin’?”
GC – “I’m quite well, thank you. We know you have a contract that states that you can pick your opponent and the match style in this month’s RockFight. You are here to give us your decision.”
SB- “I am, Gordo! I would like to thank the RockFight fans for voting, even if they voted voted poorly. I know they just wanted to see me in the ring again. I respect that. I would want to see me more too. My decision was not too hard to make. There is one guy I have always wanted to kick the living shit out of. This punk needs an ass whoopin’ something fierce. My choice is… Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. That dude makes me puke! I can’t wait to tear him to shreds!!”

The other monitor now has Fred Durst standing by live. He looks pissed!!

GC – “We would like to welcome Fred Durst! He joins us by satellite feed from his tour bus. He is on the road near Topeka, Kansas. Welcome to the RockFight announcement show.”
FD -“Thanks Gordon, I’ve been waiting to get my call from the RockFights. I’m thrilled to be here!! I’m also thrilled to beat that sass outta Sebastian Bach. We have all heard enough of his shit. It’s time to shut him up!”
SB -“Good luck with that, asswipe! This mouth makes the money. You are gonna love the match I picked, scumbag!”
    FD – “Let’s hear it then, has-been!”
SB – “One of the greatest wrestling matches I ever saw was Roddy Piper vs. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine in a dog-collar match. You ready to taste that chain and be my dog! That’s right you and I joined by a 12 foot chain attached to dog collars on our necks. That collar will be locked on and you will be my bitch!!”
FD – “Bro, I love that shit! I cannot wait! You are very stupid in addition to being very annoying. There is no way you can take me in a dog collar match. I’m gonna work you! You will be running back to Canada, as soon as you can walk again, that is!! HAHAHA!!”
SB – “Looks like we got a match, Gordo!! All the fans need to check it out when I destroy the man in the backwards red cap!”
GC – “You heard it here first RockFight fans. A dog collar match April 24, 2018!! Sebastian Bach, representing Skid Row versus Fred Durst, representing Limp Bizkit. That is all the time we have for tonight. We will see ya at the RockFights!! This is Gordon Carray for RockFight signing off.”

    Release Notes

American Bad Ass – This song is one bad mother! Sad but True (Metallica song) makes a great back drop for one killer song. It was used by the WWE as the Undertaker’s theme during his “Under-Biker” days. Are you scared???

Bawitdaba – This was Kid Rock’s breakout hit. Everybody knows this classic! This catchy nonsense is gonna be one of your favorite new Rock Band tracks!!

Wasting Time – This track from Devil Without a Cause is a great one. Armed with a Fleetwood Mac sample this track is an ode to catching a buzz.. It was the final single from the 11 times platinum album. If you don’t already know it check it out…

rawsewage (2) was a “Big Brain” and got 2 of the 3 songs correctly. Great sleuthing!

We will return tomorrow with this month’s RockFight announcement!!!

    Are you ready???

Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short

This week’s release will be Wednesday. See ya tomorrow!!

    Hey there Rockers,

Wrestlemania was awesome this year! The whole weekend was great. Any wrestling fan that was watching this weekend got a real treat. They also have a really good shot at figuring out these clues. That is a big hint. Put those “Big Brains” to work.

Here are some small clues to what is coming Tuesday…

The artist we are featuring this week has been to the Funhouse before. He has a long list of accolades including RockFight winner. This pack will celebrate a recent honoring of this artist (Like… real recent!!!). There will 3 great songs!!

    Song #1

This song always reminds me of a guy named Mark.

    Song #2

I have no idea what this nonsense means, but it is super cool.

    Song #3

This song will roll very well into next week’s theme.

I know it’s not many words, but the “Big Brains” can get this quick I’d bet. Good luck!! Let’s see these small clues solved!!

Happy birthday!! I hope you have a great birthday!!

    Hey there Rockers,

Tuesday has finally returned to the Funhouse!!! It is the first week of April and that means it is time to celebrate…

Some of you may wonder what the blue hell Rex Manning Day is. One of my favorite films is Empire Records. I worked in a record store when this was made and it was amazing. I would highly recommend it!! It had some great music. Rex Manning was a character in the film. This week’s release will celebrate that film’s great music in time for Rex Manning Day on April 8!!

Let’s get right to the tracks!!!

    Release Notes

Plowed – This track is a GH convert. I had done it years ago, but re-did it for this release. It has had all the GH bad stuff taken away and has proper pro drums, proper artwork and is a riot to play. This song was fairly popular with modern rock radio in the 90’s. Check it out…

Say No More (Mon Amour) – Rex Manning is actor Maxwell Caulfield. In the film, he is an aging rock star passed his prime who come to the Empire Records store for a meet and greet. This is his new single in the film. The song is now available in Rock Band and that is incredible. It had a bit of French language in it and is a bit racy in those parts, in you speak French you will see. Check this out…

Little Bastard – This song is a college rock classic. It has a bit of R.E.M. sound and is super catchy. If you listened to it in the 1990s it is probably still stuck in your head. I love this song, we hope you will too. Don’t sleep on this super cool track…

Money (That’s What I Want) – This song was written by Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford. It has been done by a ton of bands. It was initially recorded by Barrett Strong. It was also done by the Beatles and tons more artists. This version is the most fun of all the cover versions. Here done by The Flying Lizards, a new wave band from England. It has a great sound and once again is super catchy. Here see for yourself…

I would like to congratulate Funk Meister Freud for his excellent call on Rex Manning!!!!

We would like to thank everyone for all the kindness. We hope you dig this release, despite it being lesser known songs. This what I would call a cult classic release. To some it will be pure gold, others will go “meh”.

We will return next week with another batch of awesome! Have a great week! And remember…

    We’ll see ya next week!!!

Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short

    but I can’t dwell on it,…not today!

Please tell me you did this on purpose rather than show off!!! This cannot be coincidence. It is perfect, well not entirely!

    Hey there Rockers,

We would like to thank you all for making Ladies Month a terrific success! Now, we start April. We will have another great month for you peeps. It will start with a release I have wanted for more than a year…

One of my favorite days of the year is coming soon. This week’s release will celebrate that day. This week’s release will also include a bonus track, making it a 4 song week. I will give you a small sample of lyrics from each song. Let’s see if you “Big Brains” can get them figured out.

    Song #1 “I can’t touch the ground”

Song #2 “Lips are made for kissing”

Song #3 “Put that down, you’re gonna get hurt”

Song #4 “Your love gives me such a thrill”

good luck everyone, we’ll see ya tonight!!!
