Had some time left and the chart went really quick. Hopefully next week I can convert the charts to Rock Band Customs!

Well, I’ve spend hours trying to set up an emunand but I did’t get it to work. I tried Uneek+Di with neek2o and Alternity’s suggestion. Both didn’t work. Neek2o got stuck on reloading bootmii ios eventhough bootmii is installed as ios. And the other emunand just gave me a black screen. I tried 3 different hdd’s, 4 sd cards, I formatted them multiple times but nothing worked. I’ll try using an USB Loader again and hopefully Rock Band 3 won’t crash this time. Otherwise I’ll stick with my sd card for loading dlc and customs.

Today I tried to set up a emuNand to store customs and DlC. I’m using USB loader gx because it’s easier to setup. But it doesn’t work, downloading official DLC works and they save fine on my hdd. But back at the main menu Rock Band is adding the DLC like customs. And then the game freezes everytime. So I tried adding customs, because I have a pal Wii and use the sZGP generation I added them to the folder 375a4750. But they don’t even load. Am I doing something wrong for Pal wii’s or is using an emuNand through USB Loader Gx not possible for customs?

Alright, I tried using the cheats yesterday. I made a gzt file with code manager and placed it on my sd card. I selected the cheats in usb loader gx, but the cheats aren’t working. I still get video venues. Any idea what’s wrong?

I haven’t got the packers provided here to work, but that could simply be a bad manipulation that I made, but yes essentially you will need to install any wads through showmiiwads (or the dlc tools), like any emunands. AFAIK any USB loader should work, since Uniiloader is essentially a USB loader, but as effective as Uniiloader inside an emunand, that I couldn’t tell. Yes, you load the cheats through Uniiloader, cheats, channels, wiiware, games, etc can be launched via Uniiloader. With this emunand you can also boot the games via disc channel, but I don’t think you can load cheats this way. You can install homebrew channel, and launch homebrews on emunand (some doesn’t work properly, though, like FTPii, but again, do you really need to FTP to your emunand?), but the need for it is slim, really, since you do not need to mess with system files, your emunand is essentially an updated ”official” 4.3 firmware. The packer I use is called wszst, and can pack up to 1.5-2gb worth of songs in a single pack, in the sZAE generation. For me it doesn’t matter much, since if I want the DLC the pack replaces I can just merge it in the pack.

 

Thanks, I’m just gonna try and install it and if I have any problems I”ll post them. I did not quite unterstand the part about the packer but I’ll figure it out. Do you know if every hdd works? If my hdd works with my usb loader, will it also work with the emunand for sure?

People uses different ways to load emunands and most seems to work. I use this emunand, which is less likely to stutter, or lag on larger songs, compared to real nand or USB loaders. Everything works flawlessly on this emunand, backups and whatnot, without the need of installing cIOSs. You do need a rather large USB drive though, with 2 partitions on it. All the details are within the docs, provided with the tools to make the nand.

Thanks! It looks good, I’m going to try it. But if understand it correctly, on the emunand you cant install homebrew and usbloaders, so you need to launch all your games through uniiloader right? And I can install the sZGP wad wich is needed for customs with showmiiwads? Also how do I run cheats then, with uniiloader?
