This is the last planned RB3 custom for the moment, since I also updated two I had meant to do so for a long while.
Recommended for: Keys, challenge
The last song off my 2016 album “Please Bring Peace to the Village of Doom,” is a rather lengthy and epic one, with really challenging drums, fun guitar and bass, and a huge emphasis on keys.
May 23, 2019 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Gigakoops’ Other Customs (12/16/16 – “Rock Me Amadeus” by Falco) (ON HIATUS) #505333So I have a few fixes to old customs, and a couple of new customs lined up. This will not be a regular thing, it‘s just some stuff I had time for. I updated Acid Trumpets, and today’s new custom is:
Note that yes, the drum animations are supposed to be the way they are. If you know the source material I hope you get a kick out of that.
March 31, 2018 at 3:04 pm in reply to: Against Me! – Transgender Dysphoria Blues Full Album Completed #496594“Transgender Dysphoria Blues” now has the pro guitar upgrade uploaded! I’m looking forward to playing through the rest of this album!
For time signatures over 8 (for example, 7/8, 11/8, etc.) I’d say do something similar to the above statement, spacing each hit 1/4th, except for when the next measure starts, so it sort of has a “TA ta ta taTA ta ta ta” sort of feel to it (if you know what I’m saying; I’m kinda tired and it’s hard to English right now ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
January 19, 2018 at 6:11 pm in reply to: Alternate Venue Direction for Streamlined Editing (GUIDE) #494443I guess when I wrote this guide, I didn’t take that into account! Good thinking, that definitely seems much easier ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
November 28, 2017 at 9:50 pm in reply to: Alternate Venue Direction for Streamlined Editing (GUIDE) #492878Sorry for the late reply, but I wouldn’t know. If you want to test it I’d be interested in knowing. I myself would prefer to use MIDI takes anyway, though.
I also had it as all HOPOs, because I figured it’d be much more fun. I’d say it’d probably be safer to make them HOPOs, since this isn’t meant to be a challenging metal track like Visions or OGAP.
RE: My bad habit of song hording… I truly do apologize for that. I really thought I’d be able to deliver on all of those songs. But over time I started to realize that I was in over my head, and eventually got burnt out to the point of having to stop. I should never have made that WIP list; my first clue should have been that I made it because I was already taking too damn long on all the songs I was working on, and as a result song after song I was excited to work on, were being released by other folks. I feel like a garbage human being for essentially hoarding a mountain of songs for myself, and not always being open to collaboration.
Goes without saying, but at this point, my WIP thread is meaningless, go ahead and author whatever you want from it! If you see a song on someone else’s WIP thread that you want to author, I’d say shoot them a message asking if they want help with it. If they don’t respond within, say, a week or two, just go ahead and author it yourself. It’s better than waiting years for a song to be charted, only for it never to come.
At this point, IDK if I’ll ever get back to charting for RB3. I’m considering perhaps switching to a less demanding game to chart songs for, such as Clone Hero. But even then, I’ll probably just author random songs for my own enjoyment rather than what I used to do, and put the song on a backlist and hype everyone up for it, only for it to never get done.
August 19, 2017 at 7:54 pm in reply to: converting Guitar Hero to Rock Band: midis? chart lists? #489618Not entirely related, but you should also check the Customs Database on this site to make sure that a given song you’re wanting to convert hasn’t already been converted by someone else. The entirety of both World Tour’s and Metallica’s setlists have been converted by GHtoRB3, as well as a lot of other songs from other games, and there are also converts done by other authors as well (I myself have ported “Bloodlines” by Dethklok, for example). This way you can save time on some songs that may already have a conversion done.
I’d just like to show my appreciation for the help I’ve received over the years from Nightmare Lyra, BearzUnlimited, GhostByob, GreenPanda, Pksage, Chips, Linos Melendi, Wingsoveramerica, and Dash Riprock for helping out with customs of mine over the years! Sorry if I may have forgotten you, and you’ve helped me as well, do know that I also appreciate the help! Without all of you, a lot of the customs I’ve released and have worked on wouldn’t be possible!
I’d also like to thank Rocker1999 for helping me figure out RB2 converts! While today there’s a tool that allows anyone to make an RB2 con file, back before then I received a lot of help with my converts, and it’s all thanks to them!
And last, I’d like to thank both BravoGangUS and Linos Melendi for making preview videos for my customs outside of C3’s official releases (and also thanks to Linos for making that vocals version of Sandstorm, that is quite amazing). Sorry if I may have been a bit pushy at times, I’m still trying to work on tone on the internet.
I do wonder how all of this will get done, considering this is quite a lot of songs from an EDM label, and not everyone here is into EDM. That said, we could always use more EDM customs, and after watching Monstercat TV on Pluto TV for a little bit, I’d say this would be fun to see complete.
Unfortunately I can’t really help much at this time. I’m still burnt out on authoring, and there are other things I’m focusing on at the moment. That said, I may consider doing venue authoring for a few songs, upon request. Not all of them, though, since again this is a lot of songs, but I always have fun doing EDM venue stuff. so feel free to contact me if you have any songs you feel could use a fun, flashy venue.
ATTENTION!
I am going to be leaving the customs community. I don’t wish to go into detail, though I am dealing with some things, and I think the best thing for me to do is to focus on other things. I want to thank everyone who’s shown support for my customs, and am sorry about leaving so many WIP’s left incomplete.
Go ahead and author any of the songs included on this list, though please don’t ask me for my project files. I’m wanting to move on, and after maybe initially checking responses here, I don’t plan on signing into this forum anymore. I may occasionally visit and download other people’s customs, but I plan on doing so passively.
Thank you all, and see you ’round!
April 23, 2017 at 10:03 pm in reply to: Gigakoops’ Other Customs (12/16/16 – “Rock Me Amadeus” by Falco) (ON HIATUS) #484302Nothing is getting lost, we have all the files in double copy on local machines and they are all going back online as soon as we choose the new host. All stats from the begining of our time will ideally be preserved.
Oh okay, good to know! Thanks for the heads up!
April 23, 2017 at 8:10 pm in reply to: Gigakoops’ Other Customs (12/16/16 – “Rock Me Amadeus” by Falco) (ON HIATUS) #484298IMPORTANT NOTICE
As some may be aware, files hosted on Keepitfishy will become unavailable starting tomorrow. This means that any files I’ve hosted on there won’t be available. I don’t think I’ll be able to immediately upload these missing files onto another service, so grab them now while you still can! These files include:
AFFECTED ITEMS:
- All of my C3-era customs.
- “How Not to Name An Instrumental” by Gigakoops
- “Memory” by Toby “Radiation” Fox
- “Come Sail Away” by Styx
- “Bewitched” by Candlemass
- “Bloodlines” by Dethklok
- “Communion” by Septicflesh
- “The Devil’s Den” by Skrillex
- “That’s a Horse of a Different Color” by iwrestledabearonce
- “Intro/Fox With a Knife” by Gigakoops
- “Rock Me Amadeus” by Falco
I cannot stress this enough, grab these files while you can! I may upload them elsewhere in the future, though it won’t be immediate, so time is of the essence!
I’ve never had this happen before, but one thing I’d check is to see if the MIDI items themselves start at 1:1:000, or if it got misaligned somehow. Also as Sweatr mentions, it could also be that a tempo map marker could be misaligned or in some way messing with the MIDI tracks, misaligning them.
