    SO MUCH!!!!

In a pile of things I am grateful and excited for, I literally pumped my fist and let out a loud “YEEEEAAAHH!!!!” for Sometime Around Midnight. I LOVE that song.

I can’t thank all of you enough for all of the hard work you’ve put in on everything.

This makes me so happy to see, it’s one of my favourite ever songs so i just had to get it done before C3 wrapped up – and it almost didn’t make it. Enjoy <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Okay, so maybe I had one more in me. “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” is now available. Enjoy. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Version 3 uploaded, with sanity check fixes and custom venue.

Right, I’ve re-uploaded Sometime Around Midnight without rhythm on keys. Will get to the rest of the fixes later – I just wanted to get that up there ASAP for video purposes.

Thanks for those, will re-upload tonight. I am offended that you think I was lazy enough to use CAT and didn’t modify anything afterwards – I know better than that. Perhaps I missed a couple of things or interpreted the lower difficulties in a different way than other people would have, but I most certainly did not just use CAT and leave it at that. “It’s clear that you used CAT and not look at it” – well I didn’t, so please don’t take that tone with me. It’s happened a few times on a few of my PT threads from various authors and I’m tired of having to repeatedly tell people that I always manually author lower difficulties.

The vocals stem is mono in the files you zipped up. Are they like that in the CON too? Because the only stems that can be mono are Bass and the Kick stem, anything else should only be stereo as per the docs.

    Guitar:
Mostly fine, changed the note at M71.1 and any repeating notes. I just moved it up to a yellow.
Modified your tremolo lanes slightly so it partly covers the last note. This is simply to make the last note easier to hit.
Changed reductions in solo slightly to include blue and orange on Medium and Easy.

The vocal stem was mono in the original stems I got.

I’m not sure the tremolo thing is right. From the pksage.com docs: “C3 note: People have found out that for tremolo lanes, leaving out the final note completely from the tremolo marker makes it easier to not break combo when jumping between tremolo parts.” I certainly had no problem hitting them when I was testing out my original version with the last note left off.

    Drums:

It’s clear that you used CAT for reductions, since Easy goes Y-R-Y-R, etc. If you use CAT, don’t use the setting to remove notes paired with any snare.

Again, that Y-R-Y-R was my interpretation, since I’ve done it in C3 customs and never been pulled up for it before.

    Keys:
It is again clear you used CAT fix default settings and not look at it afterward. From M12-61 on Hard you have stretches of notes that are way too long. There should be a space every 3,5 or 7 notes.

Having spent hours and hours on this custom I resent the fact that you think I was too lazy to actually bother with the lower difficulties. I made a simple mistake because I didn’t check the docs closely enough while I was authoring them. You could just simply tell me what was wrong with it instead of being insulting too.

Right, I’ve had a horrible day at work and I’m seriously pissed off right now, but I’ll get this done tonight and have it ready for tomorrow. Thanks again for taking the time to check it, I do appreciate it. I just don’t like being patronised after having released nearly 30 customs as part of this group.

    VOCALS

    – M123->, this is tricky. There’s a third harmony, higher. You can hear it best at M128.3.

I definitely hear this now, although it sounds like the same notes only an octave higher. Is it a good idea to chart the HARM2 and HARM3 parts two full octaves apart?

Edit: Never mind, think I’ve got it

    GUITAR

    – M36, I think you can keep the progression as it should be, changing the 2 Bs to R and from that point on the Rs to Gs, what do you think?

This is what I had originally, but I changed it to Rs because in M38 there are lower notes that I needed the G for. That was the best I could do. :-/

Version 2 uploaded, with fixed tempo map.

You’d probably find that authors will shy away from any artist that has been confirmed for Rock Band 4 in case they author stuff that Harmonix is planning on releasing officially. Harmonix very rarely licenses only one song from an artist at a time, and in the case of Van Halen they’ve come out and confirmed that more songs are coming form them. I imagine Elvis will be the same.

“Never Say Goodbye”, the eighth Bon Jovi custom from C3, is now available. I hope you guys enjoy it. This’ll probably be the last Bon Jovi song I do – not sure how much more sleep I can sacrifice to get these things done.

Thanks for all your kind words about all my Bon Jovi customs. It’s great to know that the hard work is appreciated. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Version 3 uploaded, added in all of your notes – except the following:

    DRUMS

    – First fill, I’d do Y and B because you then have B cymbals

Can you be more specific about this? I’m not sure which fill you’re talking about or what you think I should do with it.

    Please do more Bon Jovi! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

    Done. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

There’s already a version that exists although it’s missing lower difficulties. You can download it from the description of

Awesome song btw, took me right back to my school days.
