October 2, 2015 at 4:38 pm #456475I have a suggestion, Would it be possible to link to Itunes/Youtube/Anything with a preview for the song in the song page?

It’s only a temporary issue with only one download link allowed in the current template, all platforms will be supported as soon as pksage can get to it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
October 2, 2015 at 4:59 pm #456487…so this afternoon?

October 2, 2015 at 5:09 pm #456491Will the MantisBT still be restricted to C3 releases? If so, will there be another method to leaving feedback or reports on existing non-C3 customs for bugs, or should we still just leave a comment on them or PM the author?

awesome nice
October 2, 2015 at 6:04 pm #456510This looks fantastic. Thank you for all the hard work!! I can’t wait to see the community flesh out the content. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Seconding this suggestion. Preferably, a note somewhere to denote if the link is to the song being played on RB3, and on which instrument(s), so we can see the charts. But if there isn’t a gameplay video, a link to the music video / iTunes would be helpful.
Another suggestion for further down the road: maintain a watchlist of artists and authors, so you get a notification (email? RSS?) when someone uploads a song by that artist or when that author uploads something.
October 2, 2015 at 6:13 pm #456514okay, hooooly scheiße. this is the greatest thing since
sliced breadthe Rapture. when this was hinted at a few weeks ago, i was hoping it would be exactly something like this. i’ll definitely be making use of it.and to the indefatigable pksage: you rule.
October 2, 2015 at 6:13 pm #456515So which format is the xbox format? Is that just the plain file without an extension?
Also, what does “Has OD?” mean?
October 2, 2015 at 6:19 pm #456518Xbox format is the Xbox format. The format that you use to play it on the Xbox. Not the format you use to play on Wii, PS3 or Phase Shift. The original format, since that’s what ALL songs created for Rock Band are converted to automatically by Magma: C3 or from the original Magma’s .rba files, which then have to be converted to all other formats.
So yeah, it’s THE format. CON files, no extensions.
October 2, 2015 at 7:13 pm #456525This is really really awesome.
October 2, 2015 at 7:41 pm #456531OK, took a nap, let’s dig into some of this.
The “View New Content” button is going to be incredible…one stop shopping.
The new customs database looks good so far. A couple of questions/suggestions:
1) Will users be able to “remove” customs that they’ve posted? Or once it’s there, it’s there forever (or until a db admin removes it)?
2) Going forward, there will be a bunch of new users (like myself) who might try to play around with building customs, but will need help; it would be extremely useful if we could post project files/.RPP *along* with the CONs to allow others to collaborate/finish off (in the case of partial instrument customs). I’m sure you guys agree that paving the way for full band, full difficulties customs would be a good thing for the community. Or some way of putting a flag on a custom that indicates “Hey…this custom is only missing vocals, and here’s the project files for you to finish it!”…and once the full-band version is posted, the partial instrument version could be removed.
Really looking forward to seeing how all of this plays out.
1) Apparently IPS doesn’t have deleting built in outside of mods and admins…sigh. http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=17
2) Posting additional files will be resolved when I finish “multiple download links” (http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/tracker/issue-10-multiple-download-links-per-custom-ps3-wii-ps-2x-bass-etc/), so you’ll be able to use that for the RPP/etc. I’ll add a flag for “actively seeking contributors”, though, which should satisfy most of your use case, I hope? Rather than post new versions and delete the old one, though, ideally we’d just update the old one, so people following it get updated.
Can you add a option to add more people that helped with the custom?
This has been planned, I mentioned it in the announcement, but here’s an actual bug tracker link for it: http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=19
It looks good so far, but there are no bass tiers listed.
This is fixed, thanks!
I still don’t get it, also will there be something to let you edit or update your custom?
also something to edit the page? i put the tile name and the artist name in the wrong order ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”>
This is also fixed.

What about customs which were originally posted by users who are now no longer active on the forums? If they don’t post their own customs…can *anybody* post anybody else’s customs in the new database? If so, is it first come, first served for posting other people’s stuff? Is pksage going to automagically handle these? Can/should only the actual author themselves post?
[/devilsadvocate]
I’m open to suggestions. I want users to be able to manage them, because we’re trying to keep this hands-off for the admins other than handling reports/etc. I think the ideal solution is tracking down the original author and asking them if you can adopt the custom, but I know that’s not always possible. We’ll track it here: http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=20
will the customs now be only for xbox, or will u eventualy add phase shift for it?
Follow this issue: http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/tracker/issue-10-multiple-download-links-per-custom-ps3-wii-ps-2x-bass-etc/?catfilter=1

MantisBT is going away forever as soon as I get around to it (and good riddance). To report song issues, you’ll now just post on a song’s database page, which will notify the author unless they turn that off. As before, if a custom doesn’t exist in the DB, you’ll still need to contact the author. Unfortunately I am not magic.
October 2, 2015 at 7:51 pm #456534Probably too much work, but would it be possible to say, get an email at the end of every week saying what was recently added to the database?
October 2, 2015 at 7:54 pm #456537Unfortunately I am not magic.
Bullshit.
October 2, 2015 at 7:55 pm #456539wanna make a way that I can “virtually attach” a test pro upgrade to a track with pro not bundled?
