Preventing Double Note Gems on The Track When Copying and Pasting

I was previously working on a custom where I created double notes when copying expert gems to the other difficulties so how do I copy and paste with out creating this mess? Thank all you wonderful people!
Not sure what the issue is. Copy all the notes you want from the expert difficulty (minus any pro notes you created). Move one note forward, hit paste. Take the newly pasted (and grouped for the moment) notes and move them to the next difficulty down. Rinse/repeat if you want to use that as the base for the others.
You don’t have to copy and paste expert to the lower difficulties to work on them, you can just run CAT to start the reduction process and work from there too

You can’t see it by just looking at it but when you try to put it in magma it sees duplicate notes, so you get an error. If you select the notes at hold ctrl and drag to copy, it doesn’t happen, but I don’t know why it would happen in the first place.
@BobJenkins000 it happens if you don’t move your cursor off the notes. it places it directly over the existing notes. so just click one note to the right or left and you’ll see them.

No I move the cursor and it still happens. I paste it in a totally different location and it makes extra glitch notes that you can’t see.
You can move the notes selecting all the notes in expert –> Hold down Ctrl and move the expert notes to (H,M,E difficults)
Thank you all for the suggestions! This error has not happened in this project I am currently working on but it happened in my previous project and I had to scrap the whole thing because every single track and difficulty had double notes. I think it happened because I coppied the Expert notes for each track and fixed it to work with the placements on the track to work ingame and it made double so I think the copying from the midi caused it. I was just being extra careful this time
