Oh, this is cool! Glad you liked the vocals on Hey Baby. Good luck going for a full C3 FC!
January 19, 2015 at 7:13 pm #436606If you FC Mr. Sandman full harmonies the Internet will explode.
January 19, 2015 at 7:18 pm #436607If you FC Mr. Sandman full harmonies the Internet will explode.I’m going to do that. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
It’s going to be a video and it will be placed in my One Man Harmonies thread.
Will take a while to get all 3 parts down and get good takes.
edit: I use edits a lot so I’m not constantly replying to myself. Just used this as a vocal warmup for today’s FC attempts.
edit: First song choice and I got an FC on 2nd attempt at Ray of Light. Previously I had this FC’ed until the hellish ending. Play tested this in practice mode a couple times and concluded that my voice would not allow me to hold that A#5. My voice was maxing at A5 held and the A#5 was scratchy and not being picked up to well by the game. So I sang the entire thing in the original octave except for those two notes at the end where I downshifted to A#4. This song is still hard even if you sang this entire thing down an octave.
January 19, 2015 at 8:26 pm #436619Like, how even? You’re obviously really good at this. I can relate to the on-disc songs. Lasso is the easiest song for me while Werewolves of London is the hardest.
Still, nothing to be FCing. I’ve only ever gotten like 2 vocal FCs. You did more than that as a warmup!

Adding Wishmaster to the list. This song was brutal. Took me 6 or so takes from a blind sight read to nail it and it sounded like shit but it got the job done. Was debating whether to keep trying it in the original octave but it the end I got it. Those two G5 screams were brutal! Loved the song too!
edit: Got an FC on my 2nd attempt at What’s Up. I feel like a dope fore not knowing that was the original song to Fabulous Secret Powers. I made a video for this one and I will be recording another FC take of Fabulous Secret Powers and put it all into one double special video! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
edit: Rendering and then uploading a Fabulous Secret Powers – Double Feature video. It’s mostly just for fun but also to show I’m not using some kind of singing robot (lol) or octave shifting.
super edit: Holy fucking shit!!! I did not think I would get an Ignition (Remix) FC this quick. It took my around 20 takes but I finally managed to get the 100% to pop up. I actually enjoyed singing this song and the end verse was fun going in and out of head voice. This shit was so ridiculous to FC I had to video record this. Upload coming soon.
edit: Got another hard FC. Took me several takes. You Belong With Me.
Calling it a day. Going to bed. Laters. The two videos will be up sometime tomorrow.
January 21, 2015 at 1:19 am #436693Busy day and I come home and what song do I choose? Of course the easiest and shortest song in the library.
Octavarium by Dream Theater
It’s my first song of the day. Surely I wouldn’t FC this 24 minute beast. Especially with my vocals not warmed up and trying to sing this 2.5 octave behemoth. Well you would be rightly wrong!
103 / 103 phrase streak. 100%.
523,236 points.
Even more so lucky than skill was getting a 100% and not a 99% glitch. Was truly expecting a 99% glitch.
Picture will be added to the OP.
edit: C-lebrity FC’ed in 3 takes.
edit: Just got a 99% glitch (the game says x/x streak full combo but shows 99% instead of 100%) on Sympathy for the Devil. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” /> People are sleeping now so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get that elusive 100%. Really enjoy singing the high notes at the end. Hoo ooh ooh! HOO OOH OOH!
January 21, 2015 at 3:51 am #436699You’re doing God’s work. Or, something like that.
It’s really cool, basically. Good on you!
I hope this isn’t a weird question to ask, but do you sing/do anything with your voice outside of playing Rock Band?

Thank You!
The question isn’t weird and the answer is a dissapointing no. I would love too but my situation right now isn’t looking too good. Maybe a few years down the road I might be able to. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” />
On a more joyful note, the Fabulous Secret Powers video is up to showcase / prove my real voice.
January 21, 2015 at 6:17 pm #436731Used this as a warmup for today.
This was not an easy task.
Took me around 5-6 takes and I got a bit lucky.
No octave switching.
Good Vibration (Live) – Solo FC/GS
edit: Got the 100% to show on Sympathy For The Devil! 49% the way there!
edit: Dazed And Confused FCGS on first try blind sight read. Officially half way done.
edit: I’m on fire again! The Knife FC’ed first blind sight read. Now to try and grab a pic with my laptop because my phone is being repaired. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
edit: Got the laptop webcam working under linux on my garbage laptop. So happy I just nailed the A5 in Black Dog giving me the 100%! Pics of The Knife and Black Dog are now up! The charting for Black Dog was really weird. The entire song is charted down and octave (which is unusual for C3) but the “aah ahh ahh ahh” is kept in the original octave (he is singing the same up an octave but that track is very low noise). Requires some difficult octave switching throughout the song if you want to sing the song how it was originally sung. Haven’t ever tried this on harmonies. This based solely on the solo track.
edit: Was expecting a 99% glitch by first run but nope! 100% on Ramble On (Vault Edition)! Can’t stop this FC train!
edit: The FC train rolls on down the track. Although to be fair I already FC’ed “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” on all 3 harmonies which includes this solo lead. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
January 21, 2015 at 9:12 pm #436748The entire song is charted down and octave (which is unusual for C3)Only thing I can think of is that it looked like the song was going up to C4, which is outside the range of accepted notes, and I kept an octave down to avoid issues, and then forgot to transpose it back.
January 21, 2015 at 9:20 pm #436750…and the FC train comes to an grinding halt. Got wrecked by Battle of Epping Forest several times. Then I tried Think. It’s going to take awhile to get an FC on Think (Aretha Franklin). That song is beast.
Moving on… let’s see if there some other FC’s within reach today.
edit: We Are One. FC’ed. My God. That is hands down the weirdest chart I have ever seen and/or sung. Serj Tankian’s vocals are charted down an octave then his belt/scream is charted up an octave. So there is 2 different octaves charted and both of them are not the correct octave. Then in the middle it seems like the guitar is charted to vocals. Maybe not, maybe there was screaming I couldn’t hear over the guitar but it was really fun to play that part regardless. Still very weird. The ending is the only part charted in the correct octave (except Serj’s chorus notes) but then the very last phrase is charted up an octave. So bizarre. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” />
edit: Aretha Franklin just slain! Think FC’ed 2nd take of the day. Those high notes are crazy tough to hold. The phrases are so short you have to be spot on with the pitch or you get at the very most a 99%. The whole song is a nightmare of switching in and out of head voice / chest voice. Phew.
edit: Voodoo Kiss FC’ed after 4-5 takes starting with a blind sight read.
edit: Trigger Happy Fc’ed after 2 takes. I’ve never heard this song and that made me sad because it was a parody of The Beach Boys who I also love. The first take I might have got the FC if not for the ton of vocal chart shifts in it. Second time I did the minimum needed on one verse after the middle vocal chart shift and I thought it was going to give me a 99% but nope I got lucky and I got 100%.
edit: Woooo hoooo! After several several takes…. The Battle Of Epping Forest 100%. So so so thought I was going to get a 99% but luck was on my side. This song is so ridiculously hard to FC. so many quick jumps up and down and up and down AND UP AND DOWN the octaves. Good lord. Chart was perfect as well. I loved the song but damn there is only so many times you can sing “Picnic” before your brain starts to melt.
edit: Stand FC’ed after 3-4 takes.
edit: Modern Day Cowboy Fc’ed on first blind sight read.
edit: Calling it a day. My voice is going hoarse. Tommorow I will continue the battle. 19 songs left. One of which is a 23min long Supper’s Ready and HBFS.
January 23, 2015 at 3:01 am #436812This sums up my day on Rockband:
What can I say… I was 19 songs in debt and now… TEN.
Yup 9 songs FC’ed today all impossible ranked.
Warmed up with this…
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2doV6 … sp=sharing
and this…
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2doV6 … sp=sharing
which were first ever FC’s for me on those songs…
finally giving me this…
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2doV6 … sp=sharing
…so satisfying!
Then I went on to FC:
1. Bloodmeat – God I did I hate this song but I toughed it through and managed to get it done.
2. Some Nights – The autotune was fun to sing but it wasn’t constantly going in and out of head voice. I really thought the lead singer was a girl.
3. The Cinema Show / Aisle Of Plenty – One of my favorite songs now after hearing it. Was really fun singing it. Kept failing so hard on the Naaas at the end. I FC’ed the intro like 10 times just to fail at the end. Got it eventually.
4. Promised Land – Don’t really remember this one to be honest. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” />
5. Hardware Store – Holy belibbering jebus I did not think this one would happen. The tempo is so god damn fast. You have to know when exactly to take your breath intakes and extactly when to switch notes during the chorus. The middle part with like 100 words in 20sec was so fast I had to just sing La’s. I couldn’t read the words fast enough to even say them in time. So glad I got this one done.
6. Dancing With The Moonlit Knight – Another great song but I liked Cinema Show better. This one was slightly easier than Cinema Show also.
7. Della Brown – Suited perfect for my natural voice. Loved singing it.
8. A Little Too Loose – Don’t remember this one. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” />
9. The Lovecats – As soon as I heard this song for the first time I fell in love with it so much I made a video of my first FCGS run on it. This song is super tough and super fun!
In the process of adding all pics into the trophy room and updating the rating list.
January 23, 2015 at 10:16 am #436827You’re on fire!
January 23, 2015 at 3:54 pm #436859In an update, “Eulogy” by Tool is now devil tiered. You may want to add it to the list ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

I’ll check later when I fully wake up.

Warmed up with this beauty: http://goo.gl/XfVHnJ
First ever FC for me on that song. For the ignorant, this is regarded as one of the hardest charts to sing even with octave shifting. I made a video with a borrowed phone but the memory ran out mid performance and so it didn’t record anything. I’m sure I can FC this again so maybe another day I’ll re-record this.
The Who – Young Man Blues (Live at Leeds) I think they charted this from sight, meaning they weren’t keeping in mind the range of this song, which if I remember correctly is something like two and a half octaves, give or take. Phrases like “Well a young man” which should descend maybe half an octave, and visually look like they do, actually descend an entire octave. Assuming from the tiering, this wasn’t intentional, as this is probably one of the hardest songs in the game. The high “They step…back”s near the end also do this.Moving on to the last 10 songs now.
edit:
Nearing the end… 6 songs left.
FC’ed today are:
1. Eulogy
2. Road To Ruin
3. Someone Else?
4. Speak
5. Thin Line, The
Got rid of the long, graphical list of songs FC’ed and opted for a more minimalist approach to just list the songs that aren’t FC’ed because that list is still visible in The Trophy Room. The personal ratings are gone but they were subjective anyways.
