NOW I know why my “Sorry, wrong page.” joke from rage quittin is gone!
I deleted that. Didn’t sound like a joke – just a mispost.
Todays been rough. For example I private messaged Farottone but he hasent responded cuz he left at 8:05 in the morning.
If you’re referring to the thread that had no indication of being a joke, and the text of it was to sell a car, then yes, I deleted that thread. It may have been funny to you, but it wasn’t to me and it wouldn’t be to anyone else who didn’t know who Chris Holmes was or that it was supposed to be a joke. On its face, it was someone selling a car on our forums. Thankfully to everyone involved I no longer have any powers so all I can do is post. So post I will.
Seriously? It was something to the effect of “Chris Holmes is trying to sell his car” with this pic

I would describe it as a vague memory since that was well over two years ago. But I didn’t start with customs from scratch, and I don’t recommend it either. I started by doing what GHtoRB3 was doing back then, learning from them and from what they had done. Once I had done enough GH conversions, farottone suggested I tried customs from scratch. I never particularly enjoyed the process nor was very good at it. But it’s the best way to make sure you get the songs you want in the game, so I learned to do it as well as I could, with help from others to polish it afterwards. The key point here for you and a few newcomers is that you don’t ask others to help you until you’ve done enough work on your own. You got to struggle with the process, spend days working on something, and only then when you’ve truly done all you can, then you ask others for help. Because most people, myself included, enjoy helping those who help themselves first. See my posts in the PS3 customs thread for a good example of what I mean by others doing their part before I gladly help them. But a lot of us just get irate when you have someone who says “hi I’m new here help me do everything” or something similar.

Frankly, I almost thought you were one of those ‘clever’ spambot accounts.Some advice:
- Read the rules, make sure you’re aware. I can give you a half-pass on the pulled content thing because that was discussed further outside of the rules but we’re not making a habit of providing pulled content.
- If you’re looking for an application or utility, you might want to look through sticky threads, because nearly all of them have their own dedicated threads, and the ones that don’t are grouped elsewhere.
Also, if you don’t know what the program to make notes is called, you might not be ready for the Show Floor yet, so you may want to temper your expectations.
