Oddly enough, unlike the blog says, I didn’t recognise Logical Song, but did recognise Take The Long Way Home. I gets TTLWH got more airplay on my local rock station.

Not a massive fan of Supertramp, but these look like fun. Will check them out.

Pack is aces on vocals, for anyone wondering.

Finally! Been waiting for these Supertramp songs for what feels like a long time. Would you be able to elaborate on the differences between the versions of The Logical Song. I’d prefer the karaoke version for the muted vocals while singing, but don’t want to lose the harmonies either as the blog describes. However, looking at the visualizer for the Karaoke version of the song, it shows 2-part harmonies. I think I can sacrifice a third vocal part if it meant being able to mute the vocals.

Also very surpsrised, and excited, to see Runaway. I love singing songs from that era. Can’t wait.

Lastly, for the RBHP, what exacly do these vocal tonic fixes do? Probably a very dumb question, but I have no idea.

Thanks again to everyone involved that help keep this game fresh and exciting week after week!

Thank you so much for the Supertramp!

Hope one day you do a “Best of” Genesis and/or Journey pack like this as well!

Oh and also “Runaway” is a great early 60’s song. Hope more “oldies” like this come in the future.

I’m not so into Supertramp, but Del Shannon is great stuff!

Play an RB3 disc song on harmonies/vocals. Look at the back of the vocal highway.

Then play a pre-2010 song (that isn’t upgraded by RB:HP). Look at the back of the vocal highway.

Put as simply as possible, it gives you more intuitive “framing” on the track to help you discern notes/pitches.

A typical Supertramp song has probably at least 3 instruments that go on keys. A sax, a trumpet, a piano, a synth, harmonica, etc. And those instruments tend to take turns under the spotlight. Choosing an instrument and sticking with it is not an option in a Supertramp song. Also, piano is really difficult to author with no stems, because a lot of minutiae is buried under something else. For these reasons, I chose to always author the most prominent instrument or, when piano is buried, the one I could author reliably, without obviously jumping between instruments. I hope you have fun with those because they required a huge amount of work to do justice to those keys and pseudo keys parts.

I’ve registered finally after a long lurk to say thanks so much for the Supertramp, as well as all the other great customs you all make.

I’ll be playing the hell out of these this weekend for sure!

I am particularly excited about this week’s RBHP release. That’s 3 whole Keys upgrades and bunches of info updates! Wii is ready to go.

Actually, what keeps impressing me about these releases is how consistent Pro Guitar is released, and together of course. It puts official DLC to shame, especially towards the end where one or none was the norm.

Thanks for the Supertramp pack! Love every track. I know what I’m doing when I get home.

What’s missing in the Karaoke version is the back and forth between harm1 and harm3 that you can see in the preview video. Which for me, by the way, is a deal breaker.

D’oh! Guess the muted vocals option is not for me. You are definitely accurate with your dealbreaker assessment.

                  Thanks for the reply.

Incredible week! I cannot believe someone else cared about Supertramp as much as I did. the ONLY song I wish that was in was ‘Dreamer’. The Del Shannon song is excellent. Can’t wait to try the key solo.

                  Great job!
