So, recently flashed my ps3 and im trying to figure the installation out.
How am i supposed to download the free pack dlc if it seems is not longer on psn.?
I don’t believe you need the free pack – pretty sure I didn’t have it on the ps3’s that I play customs on
August 27, 2016 at 7:19 am #473951ok, so im following the second option to get customs, and there is no ps3.rap file in CON tools, can someone sent it to me?

Now i’ve alredy converted some songs and doing all the steps, but my rb3 doesn’t seem to recognize the songs…
September 10, 2016 at 2:36 am #474707Welp, THeWay and I managed to get a hold of a PKG file of The End Begins to Rock from GH3 on the PS3, and we are desperately trying to access the mid file for charting purposes, but I can’t begin to figure out the KLicence stuff, or how to even use the bruteforce tool or anything. I’ve asked around, but was told the people of this thread might be the most helpful. So we have the EDATs if anyone can help us extract the mid. Just shoot me a PM and I’ll share the link to them. (Since I don’t imagine I can post it here in the thread.)
September 13, 2016 at 10:40 am #474882I’ve tried to do the same thing about 1-2 years ago, and couldn’t figure it out myself. There a software (can’t recall the name) that captures Klics when you load the data (i.e., load the song to play it in-game, the software captures the klic relevant to this song), but even with that, I couldn’t figure out how to decrypt the MIDI.
October 15, 2016 at 8:05 pm #476364Downloading some customs i came by with the same “bug”.
Everytime the song is going to end, it loops the final part and the song crashes, but the ps3 doesn’t.
So far it has happened at the end of “Stacy’s Mom”, “Fury of the Storm” by Dragonforce and “Gump” by Wierd Al.
Is there any solution to this?
October 15, 2016 at 11:08 pm #476372I can’t seem to add songs to the game anymore, after 395 according to RB3
I’m not sure what happened, recenty I added songs and it was no grip.
But suddenly it stop working, I keep conventing and merging the songs but it doesn’t recognice them anymore, i’ve even checked the .dta file to see if they are missing, but no, they are still there.
What can I do?

December 1, 2016 at 8:55 pm #478330Hi all,
Firstly this looks fantastic. Thanks very much to all those who have made it happen. I’m in no way, shape or form a programmer / coder and so am trying to wade through all the initial setup info; I’d love some help if anyone is feeling particularly generous to a complete novice.
I’m PAL for a start – do I still absolutely have to be on CFW 4.21? I have 4.78 loaded with Rebug Tool 02.02.09. After that am I correct in thinking that I will have to download CON Tools and manually convert any songs I want from the Xbox format into the PS3 PAL format and FTP them into the …/HMX0756/songs folder?
If anyone has recently set up a PAL system for PS3 C3 songs and is feeling benevolent, I would love to hear about any top tips or tricks you discovered. Many thanks.
December 1, 2016 at 10:29 pm #478335not on PAL but i dont think it matters which firmware you are on as long as the PS3 is jailbroken.
and yes, download the xbox cons, convert to ps3 and ftp to console
December 2, 2016 at 6:14 am #478348Any CFW should work; I also suggest to update RB3 to latest version if not done.
The way customs works on PS3 is replacing the RB2 free pack songs with the customs; so essentially you’ll have to merge all your customs into a single pack. It’s possible to use other packs but due to the PS3 encryption it’s a headache.
Anyways; the guide should tell you everything you need to know about converting and merging on page 1, but the basics:
-If you didn’t do it get the DTA file from the pack on your console to the C3 CON Tools PS3 merge folder
-Convert song if needed
-Merge it to existing pack
-Copy songs and DTA file to the pack on your PS3
Of course all file manipulation is done via FTP.
Also; if you didn’t had the RB2 free pack before and is using the rap files; make sure you used the PAL one. Other than that you should be good. (If you don’t want a headache with the free pack you could just use PSNPatch and download it from the store (Or any PC tools that downloads PSN stuff); though be aware of the minimal risk of being banned. IMHO just don’t boot any non-official software, and that you are on a CFW using latest version while online and you should be ok, I’ve done it more than once.)
December 4, 2016 at 5:38 pm #478429Hello!
I’m newby here. I can not do merge 2 songs for PS3.
I’ve done con to All Songs convertion. But tools-Merge songs button is always gray. How can i merge songs?
December 4, 2016 at 5:51 pm #478430If you didn’t had the RB2 pack before; create an empty songs.dta file in the “Merged Songs” folder. If you did had the RB2 pack just copy the songs.dta from the pack.
Alternatively (if you didn’t had the RB2 pack) you can convert a song and then place it in the “Merged Songs” folder.
