Hi, so I get how to do everything. got the song to appear on in my game, but once I try to play it, the game says “this disc is unreadable”.

My problem lies in TU5. I looked under all my RB files on my hard drive and don’t see it anywhere. TU4 was there but no TU5. I havent played online in a while, but do play online to update scores and such frequently. I feel like I have it but can’t find it and that’s the problem.

Anyone have any advice for me?

    Thanks

If you’ve played online is because you have TU5. If you have the Games on Demand version of the game, you have TU5 baked into it. If you have the Madcatz branded disc, you have TU5 baked into it. If you have the MTV Games version of the disc, then you have TU5 somewhere else. It can be on the Xbox’s internal memory, on the hard drive, or on any flash drive connected to it. Make sure you’ve removed it from all of those potential places.

Ok, I’ll have to really look. I do have the MTV branded disc (bought the game the day it came out). Looked through all my Rock Band files on my HD. Just don’t see it. Hopefully I can find it.

      Thanks!

One thing I did notice is that while I do have the EA version of the game, the Madcatz logo comes up when i start up the game (when it didn’t used to). I just looked at the front of the game and it is 100% the EA version (no Madcatz logo to be seen; and EA/MTV are on it). I am assuming this is coming up because I havent deleted TU5?

I can’t find it anywhere I look. I only have the one HD connected to it, and have gone through everything. This is a bit of a piss off!

      Thanks for your help though!!

Correct. It may also be conflicting if you have both the EA Games disc and the digital copy of the game.

I cleared my System Cache and that did the trick. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that before. Got everything to work. Just played Everything by Michael Buble (my wedding song) for my wife, might get lucky tonight, lol

        Thanks a bunch!

          Why do you think I charted it? <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

It looks like the C3 CON TOOLS link in the OP is broken? It just redirects to the front page of the forums for me.

Maybe because of the forums change…but the link in my signature right above your post is good.

Sooo it really has to be a physical copy with the EA logo? The 3 EB Games that are anywhere near where I live don’t have RB3 at all, and no one is selling any in local classifieds either. Am I out of luck? Or does someone know a way I could get a copy online that is definitely the proper version?

I just checked Ebay, there are quite a few on there, be sure to ask the seller if it has the White guitar pick EA logo on the disc.

I just got my copy of Rock Band 3 today, but none of the custom songs are turning up in the game.

I followed the instructions and did everything – apart from “Locate “Rock Band 3 Title Update #5″ and delete it” because i can’t find it. All i have in system -> storage -> Rock Band 3 is the game itself, autosaved game, audio/video settings and song cache. No title update #5. I haven’t connected my Xbox to the internet, so maybe it hasn’t been downloaded?

Anyway, i did everything else and have plugged in the USB-stick with all the custom songs.

First i tried to install RB3 on the internal hard drive and then i tried installing RB3 on the USB-stick, but all that shows up in the game are the regular songs, none of the custom ones.

And i have Title Update 4 on the USB-stick.

And the EA-logo and MTV-logo are on the disc.

Have i missed something? Do i need to import the songs from the USB-stick to the hard drive where the game is installed or something like that, or should it work just by having it inserted in the console?

                EDIT: Whoops double post. :sweatdrop:
