52, so pull up yer dang pants and put down the phone at the dinner table, and let’s get rockin’!

My 29 year old son and I will be going to see Def Leppart open for KISS and then Alice Cooper open for Motley Crue during the month of July. It’s good to be old.

Old enough to know better, young enough to not care.

Only beastman has me beaten, and not by much. Mentally I’m about 26.

I’m not going to say exactly, but my first concert was in ’75 when Rush AND Ted Nugent opened for Aerosmith just after Toys in the Attic came out. Rush hadn’t yet released Caress of Steel and I didn’t know who they were. But I sure knew after that. You “youngsters” really missed out on some great concerts in the 70’s. I used to play Rock Band with my son who is 20 now but he’s mostly lost interest, but I keep rockin’ on. In fact, I may have a song or two coming up soon that were played at that concert.

I am the old man, I have a year on Nyx… sadly, you are not allowed on my lawn.

I saw the Ramones live about 6 times after catching Rock N Roll HS on cable. I stood in line at a ticketmaster machine after Aerosmith reunited to get tickets to what would become my second favorite album of theirs. Ended up in 6th row far left. We all saw a live DK (Dead Kennedy’s) concert.

Remember my cousin playing the B52s just released album for me and blowing my mind and forever sending me down the New Wave path. My love of SKA began when I saw The Specials perform Gangsters on SNL.

Turned 36 this month but I still have a mind of a man in his early 20’s. My flesh may be rotting but my mind isnt getting old.
