Hello everyone!

I’m working on my first custom song and I have some questions, so any help is appreciated.

First I would like to know if it’s possible to use slides along with lyrics? Like the phrase that singer sings changes but there are also lyrics. I know that if you want to use slides you need to put “+” on the note, but what if there is lyrics on the note that you slide?

The other thing I would like to know is if you use only a song file from CD and you don’t have any separate instrument stems, where do you need to put wave file so it sounds best? Do you use the songs .wav file as backing track, and use a blank .wav file for all other instruments, cause that’s how I did it.

And my last question is if there’s any tools or tips&tricks how you could make a separate instrument tracks?

I’ve heared about program where you can put midi notes and choose instruments for that track like Ableton live studio or Kontakt, anyone tried to do that?

Also, I know how to remove vocals using Audacity, but with effect “remove vocal track” I’m not that quite satisfied, as you can still hear vocal track all the time, and it’s just a bit silenced down, so if anyone got any tips for better vocal separation methods, let me know.

When there’s a slide, you put a “+” at the *end* of the slide. You end the previous syllable with the lyric where the slide *begins*.

      Correct.

Only Orange Harrison has the practice and the patience to do it. Charting is hard enough already.

Thanks for your info. Yeah, charting takes so much time, been working on one song for 3 weeks now to chart all instruments. And I didn’t have good midi song which I could use for charting, so I had to do it all from scratch.

The easiest charting for me was vocals using KRMaker, made all there and then I just did some corrections and marked phrases.
