What do forum members, who have played it, think about the game. I am tempted to get it but would like some feedback before I splash the cash!

Its a solid title and I quite enjoyed the few hours I put into it thus far. The overall presentation blows away RB4 at this point and the GHTV streaming music service is a great videogame representation of say “Spotify”. I do love playing the charts with a music video in the background but this isn’t a new concept. Singstar has been doing this since 2004. Singstar even had a Guitar Hero add on to their series back in 2010. All of that being said, I don’t see this game having a long lasting appeal like RB4. No Drums and No Bass although they could add those instruments in a future title. The biggest achiles heal is that you must have an internet connection to play DLC because nothing gets stored on your hard drive. This title is a breath of fresh air for the music game genre but will people still want to play it a year from now?

I don’t have it, but I watched a video online, and the video in the background looks kinda lame. I liked the way it worked in RB3 and always enjoyed authoring custom venues. The video I saw was always showing the crowd, and rarely the band, which makes it less interesting to me.

It’s eh. Im still having callibration issues where I swear Im hitting it at the right time, and then sometimes the guitar will bug out and freeze up so it wont register my button imput. When it DOES work its alright. I feel the FMV will get old quick, the acting in it can be very bad at times. I will have to say though the GH TV is addictive

I’m playing GHLive on PS3 since I can lol. And I gotta say, I can’t hate on the new button layout because its a solid idea. The soundtrack is kinda lackluster ON DISC but GHTV is freaking amazing. I just wish you could download the tracks you want to keep. Plus, I hope they decide to add more GHLive content in the future.

I fixed my lag issues by using the in game calibrate. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

So, i’ve been playing that, GHVH (lol got it at work for 2 bucks), and getting my last 3 trophies on RB Blitz. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

I feel like a traitor for buying it before RB4, but I couldn’t really resist a guitar and mic for $70. I absolutely love it. The video crowd is a fun gimmick, I like how the crowd sings along. However, the real fun is ghtv. I hated the idea of not being able to choose songs without paying or earning them, but for someone in their 30s like me it’s like going back to the days when MTV played music videos. I love sitting back and playing through them. There are two channels to choose from so you can switch when a crappy song turns on.

HA-HA, you’re old! (actually, I could go back to the days when in Europe there was no MTV at all, so HA-HA, I’m old…)

Hah, please forgive me!!! But seriously, I’m having so much fun with it, I feel like they had new and great ideas. Let’s be real, guitar hero had some fun features. I loved being able to select venus like Guitarhenge and editing playlists. I am very excited that HMX is doing something new and going with the VR. I did post about an idea similar. Only mine involved using the xbox one kinect instead of vr to track your movements walking around and looking at the crowd. So much for the kinect. I really hope oculus does well. Anyway, thanks for the reply and thanks so much for everything you’ve done on here!!!

I was avoiding using the old word for a reason!!! As much as I lament the passing of music videos I need to remember how awesome things are now. I’ll take the 5.1 concert blu-rays we get now over music videos Just wish more bands could do them. That reminds me that I need to get the Rush R-40 one, that was such a great show. Which also reminds me to thank you again for everyhing you’ve done here, especially Rush!!! I’ll never forget when you linked me Snakes and Arrows. I played it enough to make my girlfriend a fan. We both lost it when they played the beginning of Working Them Angels when playing the tour intro and then went on to do Far Cry and a tons other amazing stuff.
