I’ve edited the credits above and I’ll be sure to update the in-file credits when I have a new CON to offer. Thanks for the info!

“Allentown” is now full-band. Still expert-only, still no actual 5-lane keys, the usual WIP disclaimers.

I may knock a unison bonus or two out of this one before I’m done with it, because right now it is very easy to gold-star, especially on guitar and bass.

                  Awesome.

Out in Princeton we’re saying “shucks”.

                  Waiting patiently.

                   For the redux.

I just downloaded “Witchy Woman” and the metadata for the artist is not the same as other files by “The Eagles” that I have. Some C3, some forum. You have just “Eagles”

Also the first post link to “Witchy Woman” is still the previous version.

                  Good work on these.

                    Speaking of metadata…

If you change ‘Emerson, Lake and Palmer’ to ‘Emerson Lake & Palmer’, it will not only match the album cover, it will also remove the annoying overlap in the Visualizer image.

Ah yes, “The” eternal debate. If you look at the band’s releases, they have never called themselves “The Eagles”. All their albums and singles are credited simply to “Eagles”, with a few outlying exceptions in countries where the band was probably not directly involved in the release. There actually are several bands that don’t officially use “The” in their title despite everyone else doing so, Scorpions being another one. Others have gone back and forth like (The) Steve Miller Band, and then there are some that really can’t make up their collective minds, like The Pretenders, so-named on their debut album which they then called Pretenders. Using the names “chosen by the artists themselves” can get pretty difficult in some cases when you actually try! For this particular band, though, they were pretty consistent, and they were Eagles without a The.

                        But…

I can be persuaded to add a “The” for the sake of consistent sorting if pretty much every other custom, including the GH converts in the C3 database, have the “The”.

D’oh. Fixed! I guess MediaFire actually does change that cryptic string of letters and numbers now and then. I’ll keep a closer eye on that from now on.

                        Good work on these.

                        Thank you!

                        Speaking of metadata…

Yeah, you’re right. This is where I must confess personal preference got in the way. I hate arbitrary ampersands. But, I’ll be a good boy and put the ampersand back in the next revision.

Whether the comma should go is a little less clear. Almost all album covers don’t have the comma (Black Moon is an exception), and almost all record labels do have the comma (Works is an exception). But, if we assume the band was more involved in how their album covers look and less involved in the design of the labels, and if we want to use the name that best represents the band’s golden era, then the comma would get the boot. I’m fine with that.

That HIM vs. H.I.M. thing with Harmonix’s songs is getting a little more understandable now, isn’t it?

Since AJFOne23 just added a few E,L&P to the DB, I say leave the comma, and save the sorting.

                            Hey Fuji,

I just wanted to chime in with a few words of thanks and encouragement for your continued work on these songs. This is without a doubt my most anticipated release at the moment

I also wanted to offer a BIG thank you for the addition of “Heartache Tonight”! Going back to the beginning of this thread, that was my number two pick and I’m VERY happy to see it turn up…

                            THANKS!!!

“Spooky” is now full-band, with the usual WIP disclaimers. Guitarists, you get three solos and lots of Skittles, especially in the second solo!

                              Now for the bad news…

I regret I’m going to have to break my promise to get the first seven WIPs completed before Halloween. I’ve been juggling a lot, and a commitment that was going to wrap up this weekend looks like it’s going to be pushed out ’til next weekend, thanks to that big ol’ hurricane threatening to drown Texas in the next couple of days.

However, I’m still going to push to get done what I can before next Friday. If I’m lucky, all five songs that are currently full-band will be polished at least to the point of having 5-lane keys and full reductions. If I’m not so lucky, I’ll give priority to “Witchy Woman” and “Spooky” so that at least the Halloween songs are ready for Halloween. Whatever is left over will of course be the focus of my attention after Halloween, and that includes “Boat on the River” and “Heard It in a Love Song”.

In the meantime, I hope ya like what’s here now!
