    Hi!

This is the first time that it happens to me. I’m on wii, and I’m trying to make upgrades for RB1 songs. (Yes, I found a way to get them). Since we *don’t* have em imported on wii, I decided to simply merge my upgrades with the original midi, makes things easier. Anyways, I did 4 parts, Should I Stay pro g/b and In Bloom pro g/b.

Strangely, Should I Stay Pro Bass is the only one where all the notes are ingame. In it’s pro guitar part there’s only one bar near the end that is disapearing, one single bar. In the case of In Bloom, it would be almost the entire song starting at one precise point, and those point are different on pro bass and pro guitar.

I understand it is not allowed to post official content on here, so if need be, I’ll separate the pro upgrades for anyone who would like to take a look.

Not posting em yet because it could be something stupid that someone points out.

that can happen with pro guitar, if it freaks out when notes are below the hand position and doesn’t show any notes after that point.

You can run the upgrade through magma which will tell you exactly where the problem is, open C3 magma without creating or opening a project, go to game data, locate your midi from your upgrade, and click test.

Post ’em here and I’ll take a look if you’re still having trouble.

Hand positions! I always forget they exist for RB -.-

    Thanks.

EDIT: So, I went in reaper and added the left hand position informations, passed in Magma and got this error, not even sure what it means:

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: c:/users/alternity/google drive/customs/rock band 1 port/should i stay or should i go/shouldistayorshouldigo.mid (PART REAL_GUITAR): Real Guitar Chord does not end on the same note at 87:1:120

I looked around there (pretty much the whole bar says that), and nothing out of ordinary.

Anyone has an idea of what this means?

I would probably need the MIDI (and maybe the EOF project if that’s what you’re authoring this upgrade with) to figure out what the error is talking about.

This was made using reaper only.

After importing into EOF and looking at that measure, it seems some notes aren’t aligned with each other:

The notes with the white fret number on black background are those that overlapped the note that followed instead of starting at the same timestamp. Inspecting the MIDI at that point verifies that the note on the high E string is 1 delta tick later than the other notes in the chord:

Guess I gotta be more carefull when I look at things… Thanks, I’ll look for the same errors in my other upgrade <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />.
