Tiny update, but one that you’ll need if you intend to play C3 customs created with the upcoming release of Magma: C3.
v2.0.2
- Under the hood fixes to add support for upcoming customs created with Magma: C3 Roks Edition v3.3.0 or newer
April 6, 2015 at 12:24 am #442144
v2.1.0
- Added support for Phase Shift customs - see the Help file for more information
- Added option to display the note name for Pro-Keys and Vocals/Harmonies - Options -> MIDI display settings and enable/disable the options there
- Fixed huge memory leak that could happen when using Chart: Full MIDI preview
- Fixed minor memory leak when displaying album art on right panel and audio spectrum would show on album art box on the left panel
- Other under the hood fixes and improvements
Here we go: support for Phase Shift customs ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
There’s also a few bug fixes and improvements that make this a worthwhile update for everyone.
I recommend everyone update to this release.
April 7, 2015 at 4:16 pm #442219Could you add support for dlc songs? There are players for Guitar Hero songs.
April 7, 2015 at 4:31 pm #442224Could you add support for dlc songs?with emphasis on ‘custom songs’ – no discussion of playing back official content will be entertained. There is your answer.
There are players for Guitar Hero songs.I fail to see how that in any way should influence my decision. In any case, I would love to see these players of which you speak. Getting a GH file in its native Xbox format to play like cPlayer does with Rock Band customs would be as much work, if not more work, than went into making cPlayer work. So I would love to see the players and/or their source code.
April 8, 2015 at 1:11 am #442262I got some feedback from Phase Shift players as expected, here’s an update that should fix most issues reported:
v2.1.1
- Added support for Phase Shift songs that use GH1 MIDI files that use 'T1 GEMS' instead of 'PART GUITAR' for the guitar chart
- Added support for Phase Shift songs that use delay values in the song.ini file to sync the audio to the MIDI file
- Added check for old Phase Shift songs that used a JPG image for album art with the PNG extension
- Fixed bug that would fail to load a Phase Shift song if a charter/author wasn't listed in the song.ini
April 12, 2015 at 4:41 pm #442604
v2.1.2
- Added ability to expand cPlayer to full screen (i.e. maximize button is enabled now)
- Added initial support for playing of background videos for Phase Shift songs that have them (your experience may vary!) - Click on Options -> Play background videos to enable or disable
- Added option to highlight instrument track during solos - can be enabled/disabled under Options -> MIDI display settings
- Added ability to see all practice sessions by right-clicking on the time line - click on any practice session to skip to it
- Added ability to take a screenshot of the visualization panel by pressing F12 - find the screenshots in the Screenshots directory
- Expanded (theoretical) maximum amount of songs to 999,999 entries and adjusted code to display their numbering correctly
- Improved behavior when dealing with Phase Shift, Wii and PS3 files to move only the necessary files and load the rest from their location - should fix some of the reported errors and save some time when processing those songs
- Added support for non-standard (Rock Band) genres - mostly beneficial to Phase Shift users
- Added detailed logging of most steps - stored under the installation directory, log.txt - click Help -> Open log file to open log.txt with your default text editor
- Improved error notifications for when loading a playlist causes an error - should make it easier to track down problem song(s)
- Various bug fixes and improvements
April 12, 2015 at 6:31 pm #442609This thing just gets cooler and cooler.
April 20, 2015 at 3:15 am #443240Small update.
v2.1.3
- Can now switch between playlists for different consoles without having to first change the console yourself
- Shaved about 90KB off the executable with some code improvements
May 8, 2015 at 1:26 am #444912
v2.1.4
- Minor bug fixes
I’m getting ready to hang things up and I wanted to make sure to push this out with the few fixes I had done on my end. If you have no problems with your version, no need to update.
May 13, 2015 at 6:41 pm #445352Absolutely fantastic, thank you for all of your hard work!
May 13, 2015 at 10:56 pm #445371Just wanted to say thanks for this. I just got around to trying it. Visualizing the Vocals outside of the game is great to have. I’d love to see vocal slides added but I’m not complaining.
May 13, 2015 at 11:00 pm #445372I’d love to see vocal slides added but I’m not complaining.Sadly that becomes very complex and not something I could accomplish at this point because of how I created the program.
Voxinator did a great job at showing slides though, you can try that here:

v2.1.5
- Added support for drag/dropping of song.ini files to add Phase Shift songs to your Playlist
- Fixed playback of songs with certain amount of channels that would result in the wrong channels being assigned to each instrument track
- Fixed displaying of guitar chart in Phase Shift songs with COOP GUITAR charts that would mix both guitar charts at once (COOP GUITAR is ignored)
- Fixed bug that would cause an error if you only had one song in the playlist and then deleted that song
