was just curious if it was a harmonix thing or errors in songs.

i play pro drums and be yourself by audioslave for instance has the first verse playing time on the floor tom or green note.

 

when you get overdrive filled it shows a green cymbal in with the green square notes to activate it. choosing not to since the meter is half full i keep playing the green tom notes but it activates od.

i think this has happened somewhere else too.

 

so is that a thing with not being able to separate the 2 because i know regular drums it would have to be the green square to activate it in the pattern of green notes you essentially you would have to miss the note to not ativate it.

 

anyone know why this is?

It’s a game thing. Overdrive on pro drums always turns into a green cymbal regardless if tom or cymbal is the actual note, but both the cymbal and tom activate it. So yes, you’d have to miss the note not to activate overdrive.
