Hey there! It looks like you’re missing the “p”, it should read: http://cp.c3universe.com. p.c3universe is specifically for profiles/users, cp.c3universe.com is for the control panel which has the dashboards you want. That will also bring you to the login page where you just sign in with your C3 username and the user token (the login page shows you where you can find that).
Let me know if you’re still having trouble.
Doh! Thanks!
June 12, 2019 at 9:03 am #505568I’m not sure if I understand right, is the C3 Universe interface supposed to be used by authors only, or also by other users?
I was just trying to select songs and build the “your collection” list, simply to have a way to nicely visualize which customs I am currently using in the game, but I could find no easy way to browse the customs themselves… I can only go to the “global stats” dashboard, pick an author that is visible in one of the charts, and then I can see her/his list of customs that I can add to “your collection” with a click.
But there is no general browsing of songs by name or artist from here, I always have to go through the author’s page to add them to “your collection”. And I can’t see any other author besides those in the “TOP” lists, because the “authors directory” doesn’t load at all.
It’s also funny how the “your collection” list itself has many columns for sorting, but not a column for the “artist”, which is possibly the most common way to sort a playlist…
Maybe this is not the way it is supposed to be used?

It is intended for all, but…

C3U is a work in progress, and some features, particular being able to build your collection and track what authors have released, no longer work like they used to. Everybody involved has a busy life outside of C3U, and there is also the possibility of collaborating with other rhythm gaming communities, which likely would affect any decisions on how to fix and/or upgrade C3U. Consequently, C3U in its current form is more useful to authors than browsers, and likely will remain that way for some time. However, the old customs database is also alive and well, and most customs authors add entries to that database even if they also use C3U to store their customs. So, for the time being, you’re encouraged to browse the old database to find what’s available. You can even search by artist there.

I think we prefer the term ‘customizing’.

January 9, 2020 at 7:55 am #509087How long does it generally take before being “approved” for uploading? When I tried to click the “request upgrade” button, it told me that I had already sent a request. I am not sure I actually did that, but if that’s the case it must have been half a year ago when I created my first (and so far only) custom in the regular database.
It’s not urgent, as I can keep using an external storage for my custom, but it would be nice to know how many people are downloading it.

The toast said, 7 days to confirm your request

January 15, 2020 at 5:43 pm #509240There has been talk in here about ‘Reclaiming’ songs not being easy, I’m not asking that, but I’ve been very reachable. Ed Tanguy is my legit name on my passport and all social media, Just sad a lot of my charts have been uploaded by various people to the point that I don’t get credited anymore eg https://youtu.be/reqyQFBUZKo . I’m not dead and I still chart, I’m just depressed and not too shouty on the internet anymore (My gf forbids it). I’ve uploaded songs I didn’t see on the database, onto it but not used the.. Universe? Idk, Hope it’s alright.
January 16, 2020 at 10:02 am #509250Ok, it looks like now I can upload my own customs using the C3 UNIVERSE interface.
The next question now is… my first custom is ALREADY in the regular database, but it is using a link to an external storage. What I would like to do, is to switch from this external storage to using C3U, but I am afraid that if I just upload my old custom to C3U then it will create a duplicate in the database. What is the correct way to proceed in order to avoid that, and simply switch to C3U storage (and start tracking some download statistics)?
Thanks!
January 16, 2020 at 10:01 pm #509255C3U is, for the sake of this discussion, a completely separate entity from the customs database hosted here at customscreators.com. Uploading your custom to C3U will not affect the database here in any way. What it will do is create a C3U download link. Once you have that, you can edit your song’s entry in this site’s DB, and replace the existing download link with the C3U link.

June 21, 2022 at 11:05 am #521610Hi everyone – for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to request an upgrade to become a verified user. Can someone explain it to me? Thanks in advance.
