This is great! I will have to go through the whole DB and re-download what I have, but its a small price to pay for what it will gives me back. Who knows what gems are buried away in the DB that I never realised was released.

This is amazing, thank you to all involved.

To make things easier for you authors we have already automatically migrated most of your files from your current external host accounts as of January 1st 2017. Any file you uploaded after that date you need to add to the Control Panel. In addition, roughly 30% of the files you uploaded before that date didn’t transfer, so you will need to add those too. All files have been moved to your Main Folder but you can create subfolders and move them around if you want. We have also added some “legacy stats” for your files: since we can’t track the downloads you had on your external host, for every 10 views of your custom’s DB page we have added 8.5 download records. That’s a ratio we devised using customs for which we knew both actual downloads and DB views. Please update your DB links as soon as you can to maximize download stats because from now to the moment when you switch links, your views will not be translated to downloads.

This is very important: please update all your links with the new C3U links (d.c3universe.com) in order to start tracking downloads as soon as possible.

I’m confused. If the files after that date were not migrated to the new database, does that mean we will not have legacy stats for those files? Are the legacy stats only for files before Jan 1, 2017?

The Jan. 1st date was the cutoff for auto-migrating songs. I believe it is unrelated to the legacy stats calculations. Legacy stats should be available for everything that was in the database once you update the links to the new c3u ones.

“Legacy stats” are created once a file already in the DB is added to an author’s C3U account, regardless of any migration status. They work for any song in the DB, but not for every *file*: 2x, Phase Shift, etc. versions won’t have any legacy stat, we can’t guestimate those.

Thanks a lot for doing this <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> I am soon going to release my first custom song (Digimon Intro) and I am realy excited <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

I have a wish for the platform:

What about some additonal meta info for songs?

What I mean with this is for example when I want to search an Anime song and I know the anime for example, or I know a movie but dont know the name, I should be able to find the intro of an anime or the soundtrack of a movie by searching for this, instead of the original song name.

            I hope you can add something like this <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

(For example when I try to search for the Digimon Intro (Butter-Fly) I would want to search for digimon or for Butter-Fly but both should show the same results.

Thanks a lot for your hard work, I dropped you a PM because my author id is not accepted by C3 Magma Rock Tools :/ if anyone here knows about this problem that author ids dont get accepted, I would be happy about any feedback.

            Thanks!

Unless farottone has some magical powers, there is no way to code that in short of asking the uploader to add additional information in the form of a description or tags that can be searched for.

Maybe its too much to ask for, but it would be great if the concept of author ids can be dropped in favor of just giving credentials like username and password, and C3 Universe does the rest, to give a unique song id automaticly and more..?

Author IDs are required by Magma to create song IDs that work with the game’s expectation for the song ID. Farottone can of course introduce passwords and usernames and all that for the C3U dashboard, but Author IDs for authoring aren’t going anywhere.

I actually have a quick question: will this site (the customscreators.com domain) still be up? People will probably wanna still use the forums for their requests, projects, etc.

If not, will there be a new forum along with the new site? Some people might be annoyed with starting their project topics over again (including me to an extent), so that might be something to consider.

The song database and forums will remain the same. As for the domain itself switching to c3universe, I don’t know the answer. But it’s not going to suddenly disappear one day if that’s your concern.

                C3U is an addition, customscreators.com is here to stay. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>

This looks AMAZING! You guys have done so much and worked so hard to build this community, and you just continue to impress. I hope we as a community continue to live up to your standards and make all your hard work worth it. So excited to start using this!!!

Like I said, new author ids are not possible.. I am not able to get an author id. The whole author id system is broken, at least for new authors <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />!

First of all you you didn’t understand a single word I said when I explained what it took to get C3U up and what the appropriate behavior would be, which is disappointing. Second, this is not the appropriate forum to discuss it, there’s a thread in another forum, which you already used so you should know it. Finally, you already have your answer, if you don’t like it you can just move on, hijacking other conversations won’t help you. Please don’t further the discussion here, if you need to discuss this separate issue do it in the proper thread.

I am sorry. I already thanked you for all of this. Sorry again.

The point was not thanking somebody, it was not asking for free stuff as if it was an entitlement. You’ve been told what the problem is, you’ve instructed how to go around it, that’s the extent of what we can do. Now please if you want to discuss that topic do it in the proper thread.

This looks great! I haven’t had time to touch customs in a couple months but I’ll try to get around to migrating/polishing all my stuff soon! Thanks for all the work you’ve done!

As a Wii user who finally discovered this community in the past few months, this is very exciting! I like to nerd out with statistics and creep on authors of my favorite customs so this’ll be very helpful to discover all those hidden gems in the database! Rock Band has introduced me to some of my now-favorite bands of all time (Mother Hips, I’m looking at you!), so perhaps there’s another pearl hiding down at the bottom of the sea…

Thanks to all involved for your hard work and investment (including monetary) in the community. Music really is the thing that keeps me going, and being able to play an ever-increasing (in both size and quality) number of songs in my Wii library is one of my favorite ways to spend my time with friends! Godspeed, you creators of customs! You makers of melody! You heroes of harmony! You muses of music! You architects of arrangement! You keepers of the chords! You bearers of bars! You bards of bebop!

                        …I’ll stop.
