August 24, 2013 at 6:13 am #405048Is Across the Universe a complete multi track or was just the guitar separated? I ask because I just sang it with the vocals completely turned down in game, as I always do, and the original vocal track was not altered in any way.
Thanks
I have the stems on my computer for Phase Shift ports. Seems OH left in a bunch of vocals bleed, but vocals are seperated completely. The song has guitar and vocals only, so by separating the guitar you kinda get vocal stems. However, the process yielded only a good guitar stem, and that’s why OH put the vocals on backing tp avoid artifacting.Point being the way the song is mixed is the optimal way.
Trojan is right (I knew there would be an advantage one day to idly chatting with people while making stems). There used to be three tracks (mono acoustic guitar, mono vocals, stereo sitar) but there was too much bleed from the vocals into the guitar that muting the vocals had very little effect, and made them become tinny and dirty sounding, so the vocal stem was mixed into the sitar/backing stem, effectively disabling karaoke mode. Sorry about the compromise. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> There’s currently no way to specify what instruments have muting support (except for vocals), so the multitrack icon got used.
I hope my other Beatles customs are good enough though. I don’t play in karaoke mode so I’d love feedback on how well the vox turns down in my other songs.

It was stilll quite awesome to sing it though and very glad you chose to put in the work to make it. Same goes for all your customs. Top notch work all around, be it charting, separating stems, and even choice of songs. I think Rain is the best one so far, for me at least.
August 26, 2013 at 4:41 pm #405145Is it just me or is the Blue Oyster Cult song missing the latin1 option so the accented character shows? It needed it for my copy.
August 26, 2013 at 6:01 pm #405149I really need to start including summaries of the FtV changelogs in the blog post.Yes, please. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
August 27, 2013 at 3:35 am #405178Is it just me or is the Blue Oyster Cult song missing the latin1 option so the accented character shows? It needed it for my copy. It’s just you. “latin1” is used for some characters. “utf8” is used for others. Magma: C3 picks the correct setting based on the name of the Artist, Song and Album. In this case, the song uses utf8 encoding and the accented character shows perfect in game and groups with the existing BOC songs.
That is, on X360. Don’t know if Wii is different in this regard.

Yeah, I don’t know why that’s different then. Must be those title updates or something. I think for ¡Uno!, they used latin1 and RBHP’s Mötorhead fix added latin1 to the name. I know for certain I’ll have to fix that in my pack soon or something.
August 30, 2013 at 4:40 am #405315Hi
I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the Twisted Sister song “We’re Not Gonna To Take It”.
When the songs are uploaded at the main screen, it gets added. But when you go into the song select screen, the song is nowhere to be seen. Anyone else having this problem? If so, is there a fix for it?
Thanks
August 30, 2013 at 5:10 am #405316For this, and for future reference, when you have that kind of “problem” it’s not a problem with the song. It’s your song cache and/or conflicting song IDs. Here are C3 we try our best to make sure there are no song ID conflicts, so 99% of the time, it comes down to deleting the song cache and letting RB3 rebuild it.

Awesomeness Detection is always enabled for “Time”, whether or not it’s selected.
