Customs Holiday Bash Day 9, Slot 2: Re-Dux, Re-Tool, Re-Do!

Charting is a skillset; one that can take time to learn, improve on and get to the point you are halfway proud of what you were able to create. Unfortunately- that may mean many less-polished projects left in your wake as you learn the ropes, a sentiment that can be attributed to just about every single long-time author on RhythmVerse. So in the spirit of new years, I’ll be taking it back with updates a number of my previous customs along with a promise (that I totally wont break) that even more old customs of mine will receive the love and attention they deserve in the future.

The Team Fortress 2 Theme was the first proper custom I tried throwing out there and as most first customs go, it definitely benefits from years of experience coming back to it. As well as better ways to hear hidden audio, this chart is much improved from past iterations.

The Season 1 theme to Beastars is a change of pace for me since I never usually delved into theme music or anything of the sorts- but being a fan of the show and manga certainly helped me get into a type of music I usually wouldn’t have given a chance. The jazzy nature of this song made hearing all the intricacies going on difficult the first time around and this update took twice as long to fix up thanks to all the more audible sounds that could be charted much more accurately!

…speaking of theme songs- Another one from my early days that seemed “Easy enough to not mess up” now gets a proper treatment with some nice polish and improve playability for a niche tv show theme.

Thanks to RyanHYK for the chart updates- Venus now has much improved accuracy on many parts, especially the harmonies which always proved a challenge for me previously. As well there is a much less annoying venue and further note accuracy provided by myself on various small parts throughout the song.

An Indie punk hit that I first heard in a sports game, I was highly compelled to chart this for Rock Band and now have gotten around to that little bit of extra polish to the charts to make it live up to it’s proper potential.

Big thanks to EchoOfMystery for providing the pitched vocals! I enjoyed charting this one back when it released for the 2021 Australian music pack, but with a much better proficiency at accurate charting, everything lines up much nicer into a challenging and fast paced guitar focused song!

And not to just leave it on the new previews- a handful of old releases have also received some love including the following…

YMCA receiving proper disco flips, guitar accuracy and accreditation!

Break My Stride with tweaks to keys to make the choruses less annoying to play-

I Got You (I Feel Good) has its drum fill lanes removed and tweaks to the vocal chart!

The Man Who Sold the World has some vocal tweaks and slight hiccups addressed.

Striving for quality is a goal for most every creative profession, but practice always makes perfect in the end- I thank everyone who previously downloaded and enjoyed my customs despite what state of quality they were in. I hope to continue this trend and ensure that dlc-esque quality charts continue to make their way onto the database and in your consoles.
