12 Days of Chartmas 2022 Day 2 Slot 2: 10-Song College Playlist

Today I’m gonna take you on a journey through some of my standout songs from my listening experiences while finishing up Fall term in college. From AWOLNATION, to OK Go, to Poppy, this pack has some variety. I hope you enjoy!

AWOLNATION – Mf
Originally off their debut EP, this track’s a raunchy electronic rap-rock banger. I mean, what else did you expect from a song called “Mf”?

AWOLNATION – THISKIDSNOTALRIGHT
Straightforward alternative rock with a shouty vocal delivery. Anyone who’s played Injustice: Gods Among Us would recognize this one (yeah I’ve never played it either).

Blaqk Audio – You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) [Preview]
Special thanks to TheFrisk for introducing me to AFI’s synthpop side project, Blaqk Audio (and for doing the bass and keys on this chart!). I found out about ’em through his wonderful customs! Anyway, yeah, cover song, one of the greats of the 80’s.

HEALTH – LIFE [Preview]

A birthday present for one of my best friends. Sadly, she doesn’t play Rock Band, but really loves Health, so it’s the thought that counts, right? This track contains official multitracks.

Nine Inch Nails – Reptile
A fantastic cut from The Downward Spiral that I’m surprised to have not seen on the database yet. I highly recommend you check out the live performance of this song with David Bowie!

Nine Inch Nails – The Idea of You
Dave Grohl once again blesses Trent Reznor and Co. with his frantic drumming. A very underrated modern NIN cut.

Mark Holman – Nothing Can Stop Me Now [Preview]
I’ve never seen Planes, but I was introduced to this song from one of the students I subbed for at my local music school. Very fun Foo Fighters-inspired song. This track contains DIY multitracks.

OK Go – This Too Shall Pass
I was on a binge of watching OK Go music videos late one night. Got inspired to chart one of their songs.

Poppy – I Disagree
Poppy metal! This track contains DIY multitracks.

Saint Asonia – Sirens
Three Days Grace’s Adam Gontier returned with his new band in 2019 to release a fairly solid hard rock album. While far from the heaviest song on the record, it’s one worth not skipping.

Up next is a pack from yaniv297!
