Not going to lie, but I’m HUGELY surprised there aren’t more Gametal songs out there. With the overabundance of metal customs and video game ost-related customs, I can’t believe his songs aren’t done hardly at all, and most if not all would make AMAZING customs. Also, the quality of the audio is so much better than most others out there. The quality of the music itself is 10/10. Here’s a couple off my wishlist that would be fun as hell, barring time restraints to the 5-ish minute marks (because he also has a lot of medleys for individual series that go anywhere from 13-18 minutes lol):
bsbloom, i hate to ask, but i requested a song by Mandroid EchoStar in the song requests forum. Would you be willing to do the Ancient Arrows guitar playthrough version? I’ve been wanting something like that for awhile now.
I’ll take a look at Mandroid Echostar.
Yeeeesssssss
December 31, 2015 at 11:18 pm in reply to: Megaman X and X2 Compilation! FINISHED and UPLOADED #461472Awesome! Thanks much for these!
I will be getting this as soon as I get home!
Now about MMX3… ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Realistically, I could do X3 but it’d take a couple months time for me to actually sit down and work on it. I may do it since it’s easier to focus on 1 song at a time and not get 100 files going at once. We’ll see though especially if I can get a dedicated Keys/Drums charter for it ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
December 6, 2015 at 3:04 pm in reply to: Megaman X and X2 Compilation! FINISHED and UPLOADED #460368Just saw a video for this on Youtube, is this any close to being done?
This is actually done! I’m seeing how to submit them as I type this! I’m also taking any RB3 customs I have posted on my FoF thread to this page as well!
Edit 2: Nvm. Uploader wont function with IE on Windows 10. Had to install Google Chrome. Uploading my content now!
February 2, 2015 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Megaman X and X2 Compilation! FINISHED and UPLOADED #437585I know it’s been awhile, but things are finally starting to finish up on my end after TONS of life events happening. My X1 compilation is completed and is in the testing phase to ensure everything is working correctly. My X2 compilation is near-complete. StackOverflow0x has helped considerably with finding chart issues, suggestions, and for doing Pro Keys and Drums on my X1 chart. If all goes well and he agrees to do the much-easier X2 Drums and Pro Keys, then both songs will be completed at some point within the month. No hard dates, because who knows what will happen or what issues I may run into. Thanks again for the wait, everyone!
Update: Both songs are finished. However, there’s still no drums for X and X2. Both songs have most of the stuff you’d expect, including lower difficulties, practice sections, and FB (-Drums). They have Guitar, Bass, Rhythm (X1-only), and 5-Lane Keys. I’m going to see about trying Pro Keys myself, though I have no clue what sounds would be what with Chiptune audio unless I just keep it on 1 scale.
Regardless of what happens, I’m releasing both next weekend so I can finally just be done with them.
Looks fine, it’s probably because you’re using guitar to play it. You need to shorten all sustains though, at least a 1/16th, maybe 3 1/32nd at that speed. It IS because he’s playing on Guitar. I had ported over Demons by Darkest Hour from GH:WoR and posted the original chart to Keys as well. The Keyboard showed the overlapping notes, while doing the Keyboard part with Guitar the notes were missing. I find it very ignorant why Keys are able to do this but guitars can’t.
To bypass the limitation, I do a mock-up of the same key-presses for the Guitar (5-Lane) chart:
A G-R-Y overlap chord for guitar I chart like a G-GR-GRY with the latter 2 as HO-PO’s so it still requires the exact finger presses that the overlap would’ve required in the original.
Update: I finally got the Full-Band done for the X1 version. Video is linked below:
Also, my X2 version is complete except I’m halfway done with Bass. It goes quick and will be finished this weekend.
I’m not releasing either song until both are completed.
So the quicker I can get drums done, the better. Speaking of, I still need a drums charter for the X2 version and to spruce up the X1 version. Any takers? I really want to get these out there as it’s the only 2 songs I’m ever going to get on here. After all the charting I’ve ever done, I’d love to make my mark just 1 time.
Any chance he’ll update the other songs with drums, mainly the Trivium and In Flames tracks? Those tracks are just my basic conversions and aren’t even close to what would be considered “complete.” What you CAN do, is request for someone to take those customs of mine and look for a drums charter as well. Or, you could submit a request thread on here and list the songs you’d like to see done (from my Trivium/In Flames conversions). If enough people add their +1 to them, they’ll have a better chance of getting done. I’d +1 most of them anyways as I obviously love them lol.
Just to update:
I have an old buddy of mine doing the Drums charts for BOTH my X and X2 compilation. The X version should be done when I receive that chart sometime later this week and the X2 version should be finished before the mid-point of the month!
Looking forward to the Megaman songs. Thanks, Sideshow. If worse comes to worst and no one charts the drums, then I’m going to release them as “full-band” minus drums due to time constraints on my part.
I like. For a song that’s supposed to have vocals in the future it sounds fine as an instrumental.Would be fun to see.
If you like, we are trying to gauge what prog albums we all really want. So we have a “chart” on the first post with the numbers. If you post your top five prog albums ill update that. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Dream Theater: Dream Theater (self-titled 2013)
Dream Theater: Octavarium
Erlend Svetten Buflod: (His Instrumentals)
Circus Maximus: Nine
Machinae Supremacy: A View from the End of the World (more Chiptune-metal)
I found this guy named Erlend Svetten Buflod that has some pretty nice songs on his SoundCloud. He was requesting his songs to make it to FoF on their forums, so I figured we could try and get them C3-sponsored. Here’s a link to one of his songs that should be charted:
Rare Candy:

Also, I’m doing a Megaman X compilation song that needs drums still and Pro Keys if anyone would want to do it. If not, I’m releasing the song without Drums because I’m tired of waiting.
Just so anyone that’s watching knows, my MMX compilation is completed chart-wise with the exception of Drums. That’s all it needs besides event-oriented things like animations, practice sections, etc.
