This 40 character thing may be the key. I just tested by removing the songs with the very long Dream Theater titles, and every other song below that worked. It seems as the 40 character thing is not just breaking the songs with >40 characters, but also preventing further loading of data from the USB, so that it doesn’t even see anything after the >40 songs.

Will test further this week.

I said “I’m thinking” which implies it’s a THEORY. I hope I’m wrong, to be honest. No one seems to have any answers so far in this thread. I apologize if I came across as bashing the software, I’m just looking for answers and help. These tools are amazing, but I am frustrated.

 

I say the tools because it’s unlikely to be any of the following:

– The Drive: The drive was reformatted, and yet the same exact songs failed to be seen by the Xbox, even though no other songs were present

– The Songs: They’re a wildly diverse collection from throughout the C3 timeline. It’s also unlikely any one song among them is ruining the rest, as I had previous success with OTHER songs while these songs were present.

– The Game and TU: Have had success with other songs.

– The Xbox: Possible but unlikely, as I can see no reason why the machine would only acknowledge the first 50 or so uploaded by the tools.

Update: not sure why, but it’s only the files I first uploaded that are working. They are a motley collection from multiple C3 packs. They just happen to be the first 52 files, in alphabetical order of the file name.

I formatted the drive and uploaded a new set, the files that take place where it left off, without any of the known successes. The Xbox is still failing to recognize them. I’m thinking it has to be something with the C3 tools.

I am also having this exact same problem. The 360 file explorer basically only sees a small number of the files I have loaded. Deleting a file and re-adding it does nothing. About to try reformatting the USB stick and re-adding everything, just to see if I get different results.
