Beyond impressive! Does the full length version break the 1MB midi limit?

The catharsis of traveling, like a Vapor Trail, or almost like becoming a Vapor Trail(s). This song seems to hit similar themes lyrically as “Ghost Rider”, about being on that lonesome road and having to “get away from it all”. There’s a lot of good stuff here, and I can’t help but feel that this record is probably the most intimate and personal Neil has ever been on a record. Whereas usually he’s writes about things that he’s seen or experience (and granted, this record is about was he’s experienced), there is a level of disconnect there, like he’s speaking to more universal truths, rather then the personal experience. Here he seems to be writing lyrics that were/are just meant for him, and we’re lucky enough to read and hear them.

Did I have the dream? Or did the dream have me? Kind of like being lost in a nightmare or something, the instrumentation certainly reflects that with crazy guitars and fast blistering drums. The “temporary madness” is not just a dream, but considering what lyricist Neil Peart went through before writing and recording this album, probably not that dream-like.
I would like to thank EJTheDJ for letting me use his RPPs for creating these customs. Guitar/bass were done my him with some edits by me. All Vocals were done by him has well!

The rest of the Larks’ Tongues in Aspic album is now here! One of the best albums ever made is now available for all to enjoy. An update to “Easy Money” is slowly in the works, adding keys to that chart as well. Until then though, this is the album completed!

The iconic into to one of the best records ever made. Featuring all the dynamics of King Crimson at the time. Unlike anything in their previous records, this was a big wakeup call to people who thought that King Crimson were “classical” in their nature. This song features the high intensity (dare I say metal) energy that we’ve never quite heard from them before. Then like a snap of the fingers we calm down and get…. a violin solo! It’s the craziest/heaviest AND quietest/softest King Crimson has ever been up to that point, and this is just one song!
This chart is edited down by a couple minutes to make the chart a bit more playable for a “full band” experience. The intro and the violin solo have been edited slightly, all other parts (build up, main-riff, etc) remain unchanged/unaltered from the original recording.

A beautiful little song featuring things like backwards guitar and violin. Functionally this serves as the records “I Talk To The Wind”, being the softest on the record. That’s no to detract from the song, it’s really beautiful while also not ruining the pace of the record.
https://db.c3universe.com/song/exiles-9449
The most emotional song on the record. John Wetton really shows how emotional his singing can be. When the lyric “my home, was a place by the sand” near the end of the track, and the violin melody that accompanies the verses is so beautiful and soaring.

A 7-minute groove fest. Starting with a percussion solo/intro Jamie Muir. I had to make an edit to make it a bit more playable in a full-band environment. When Bill Bruford really comes in it switches to his part. Bill and John hold a rock solid rhythm section for David Cross and Robert Fripp to go crazy on top of. Then we end of a bunch of screaming strings which takes us to Larks’ Pt. 2, which has already been released.
This chart is slightly edited, not in a way that’ll effect the length, but the drum chart does move from Jamie Muir to Bill Bruford and the audio reflects that.
(Can’t wait to see)
I can’t wait to see what it’s like to play this custom now..
I’ve updated the WIP, I’d like to finish the rest of King Crimson’s “Starless and Bible Black” album, but being that the rest of it is basically all live improv… we’ll see. I’ve also added Tresspass by Genesis, their second (or first ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> ) album. I’ve added some ELP that I’m working on too, and “Cans And Brahams” by YES, and “T’Mershi Duween” by Frank Zappa

The best cover of all time? Well, if it’s not, it’s only second to Jimi Hendrix’s “All Along The Watch Tower”. This Yes cover takes a 3-minute Simon and Garfunkel tune about traveling america and turns it into a 10+ minute jam song- it takes 3 minutes for the Yes version to get to the first verse- with the live version clocking in upwards of 17 minutes around the time they recorded this in the studio. Now this track was never featured on a studio album by them. It was released on “The New Age Of Atlantic”, a compilation album by Atlantic Records with acts the record company was signed to at the time including; Led Zeppelin, Buffalo Spingfeild, Gordon Haskell, and The J. Geils Band to name a few. Yes’ cover of “America” is the only material on that compilation to have not been released previously (and since it’s the earliest release of the song that’s why I decided to use the metadata from that version). It would take another 4 years, when the Yes compilation “Yesterdays” came out in 1975, for it to get released on an actual “Yes” title. The band still plays “America”, having performed it on the last tour.

A simple cute Genesis tune that rounds out the whole record. Featuring duet vocals with Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, the song features three separate guitar tracks, plus some overdubs. I did my best to cover the various guitar and overdubs to just three parts. The bass is playing a guitar here as a result, and the keys fill in the other guitars and the overdubs.
This song isn’t the most memorable, or that challenging, but it completes the album now, but I now we can say that the whole Nursery Cryme is playable in full band! So enjoy!

The only pop hit that King Crimson ever had, “Cat Food” still features odd times and has a more jazzy feel to it. One of the members of the band even commented how difficult it was for people to try and “dance” to it (the verse has a bar of 3/8 thrown in there). The keyboard part is absolutely absurd and is deffinatly the standout in terms of difficulty. Drums and guitar are challenging and while the bass part might be the easiest, it is still fun to play.

The impossible guitar song. In a recent(ish) blog post Robert Fripp describes his experience relearning the song for the latest incarnation of King Crimson, and describes at “impossible to play”. And it’s hard not to agree; the amount of precision that is required to play the middle section (and at that tempo) is something I couldn’t imagine. Bill Bruford doesn’t disappoint with the drum part, creating something challenging and fun to play. Bass and keys are a bit easier, but are also fun instruments to play with this song.

A bonus track to the Rush-Triple-Threat pack, This is the second song off their first album of the 21st century, and like the rest of this album it’s really good. Highlights of this song are defiantly the bridge, where Geddy slap-dat-bass like it owes him money! He rocks it so hard I figured it deserved a solo marker, and there is a guitar solo that gets unearthed for the remix version!

Ooo, this song rocks, like, really rocks. This might be the heaviest song that Rush has made since… Bastille Day? This song proved that even in 2002, about 26 years after their first record, they hadn’t lost their edge.

One of the hit singles from the Vapor Trails album. It was played live until only the R30 tour, sadly being dropped and never made a return to stage.

Pt. of the “Fear” trilogy ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
The lyrical content focus on the reaction that someone has when faced within a moment of danger, and the fight or flight response. It’s a nice addition to the “Fear” collection, and also fits the theme of the record really well.

Is this a one off or will we see some more multitrack updates?
Yes specifically? Ideally whatever songs are available as stems/multis I’d like to see released. I have the Close To The Edge (album) stems and a some point i’d like to go back and update my customs.
MGMT Monday! Today we got the single from their 4th LP, Little Dark Age!
http://customscreators.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/little-dark-age-r26744
The hit single off their 4th record. Kind of a return to form for MGMT after the self-titled album came out, this song (and record) is very 80’s pop inspired, and has a children’s Halloween special tone to it- and that’s not a bad thing!
