Hmm. Here’s a weird one after I loaded your file. I reloaded my original file and now all of the sudden CAT works perfect!
Strange…
I hope it continues to work.
Thanks for the help…
So the plot thickens, I was able to do drum reductions and Bass. But when I try guitar, nothing happens. The button just pops back up kind of like its saying NO. So I wonder if the problem is with the guitar, maybe I have some violation. I don’t know about. At least I’m on the right track I think.

Hey Monk
Not sure what the problem was, I noticed nothing unusual, but I also couldn’t get CAT to work on your project file
What I did was make a midi out of the tracks you have done and ran the midi through the handy C3 CON tools midi cleaner.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/j3dxh6bht3g9n35/Andalucia_new_tempo_map_clean.mid/file
opened a new project in Reaper.
Inserted the cleaned midi & dragged your individual instrument tracks to corresponding instrument.
CAT then worked no problem.
Doesn’t look like that’s going to work for me. Importing the Midi file broke a bunch of stuff for some reason. I cant find the vocals anymore and I can’t seem to load a colormap back in for the notes. And a bunch of the lanes are now off for all of the instruments. Just kind of made a big mess. However CAT did work when I tried it, so that’s something.
Thanks

Ok, thank you so much, I’ll give that a try! Hoping I don’t have to do that every time.
Hey guys, I’m an aspiring new author. I thought I’d give CAT a try, but when I use it nothing happens. I’ve gone through the check list and as far as I can tell I’m running the right versions of Reaper, python ect. The CAT menu loads fine and I can press any one of the function buttons, but when the CAT window disappears nothing changes. I believe I have an end event in the right place, just cant get any result…
Here is my .RPP file…
Thanks
Yes, basically if you want to make a slide with the word “The” from A to G you’d place the lyric “The” on A and you’d place the lyric “+” on G and the A note would stop at the start of the slide and the G note would start at the end of the slide. This should be covered in the authoring docs.
Thanks, I’ve been looking at the beginners guide and couldn’t find anything about them in there…
Chart pro drums like you normally would. The standard drums will adjust to being standard drums from the pro chart (i.e. the blue pro cymbal will be a blue standard tom).
Lol yeah just was typing that I asked a dumb question. Thanks for the response though!
Ok I think that may have been a stupid question, I though for some reason pro cymbals would be charted as a separate midi note, I guess you just chart for Normal and then it just automatically changes to symbols if you play pro.
First a tip, use this website to get BPM without having to calculate it yourself: https://getsongbpm.com/tools/audio So far for me it’s been dead on.
Second, no you don’t have to place markers if the song is in perfect tempo (sometimes referred to as using click). Even if you did, it’d be the same time signature and when you went to compile it with Magma, it’d still say there’s no tempo map. Just ignore the Magma error (that one you can) and compile as normal.
Third, there is a LOT of tips on this board for tempo mapping already. My best tip for that is to use a lot of different methods to find the one that fits right with you. This was by FAR the hardest thing for me to get my head around and then do right. But now, using a totally different method than others use, I am very comfortable doing tempo maps and don’t have a lot of issues (until I do a punk rock song, then I want to cry).
Search these forums for tempo mapping advice, read every technique, try each technique, then it’ll probably be the in-between that gets you there. Took me almost a full year before feeling good about tempo mapping. Keep with it!! Perseverance is the only thing that separates a charter from a non-charter.
Thanks much for the advice! Looking forward to the journey, hopefully I stick with it. Seems pretty daunting right now…
Thank you.
To know your account ID…move your xbox profile to your usb and open it in horizon. It will show your “Profile ID” number. Open my save data file in horizon too. Copy your “Profile ID” number and paste it in my save data “Profile ID” and save it.
Thank you my friend! That did the trick!
If the save data didn’t load, probably that means you didn’t change the profile ID to your name in the save data file. Nobody didn’t have this problem using my save data.
Ok can you advise me on how to do that? I loaded the save using a program called Horizon…
Do you have TU4 in your xbox 360? Updating to TU5 and connecting to internet doesn’t work on my save data.
Yeah, I have TU4 on my usb thumb drive and I can play customs. But I get that message when I try to load your save…
Hey guys, sorry I know this is an old thread but I tried to load rainbow dash’s save, but when I do the game says that I’m trying to load a save for a version of the game that is newer than the one I have. My set up right now is a 360 that has never been online with RB3. Would the solution be to connect to the internet and update the game or will that stop my ability to play customs?
Thanks
That’s already available my friend…
