I won’t ask why my PM from three months went unanswered, because I’ve seen enough posts from this charter subsequently to know why. But is there a good reason why the database entries for the Supertramp songs haven’t been updated to show that they do not contain pro guitar and pro bass? They just sit there teasing all three of us who play pro g&B.
This thread is about the future of C3. Whether or not there will be pro g&b charts in the future clearly is relevant to the future of C3. Thanks, Gigakoops, for answering the question, one I have been pondering for weeks.
He said he has no intent of uploading them, and that’s the way it is.
I actually just started karaoking “True” two weeks ago, so I’m very happy to see it here. Thank you for the 5 pack!
Regarding the previous message…
Given that C3 releases often have more features than *any* Rock Band 4 song can, and given that RB4 only works on PS4/XB1 (no Wii whatsoever), I see no reason for official C3 releases to stop. What a shame it would be for a crippled version of Rock Band (no Pro Mode, no keys, no Wiis) that is only for platforms that have never, ever had RB3 in the first place were to cause the death of C3 releases for platforms that cannot run RB4 anyway.

Amazing work! I love all three Hall and Oates songs. Thank you so much for these!!!Agreed! Your taste in music is outstanding! Please keep making customs!
I appreciate the pair of hacks.
It would be interesting to see feedback from people with well over 1000 tracks and your hack.
Here’s the information from Harmonix on the 3000 song limit on PS3 and XBox360:
“So, there are two responses to this: the short one and the long one.
The short response is, yes, this is a real thing.
The long response is, well, longer.
As I’m sure you’ve all noticed, there is a loading bar that pops up while your DLC library loads in RB3. Those of you with larger quantities of DLC will have longer load times than those of you with less DLC, because each piece of content requires memory to load. This DLC is being loaded at the same time as song audio previews, track information, menu and sorting options, album art and whole lot more. That gets to be an awful lot of information very quickly.
With all the associated tracks, packs, exports and upgrades, there’s more downloadable content available for your Rock Band library than you’ll find in any other game out there. While this is an awesome problem to have (I’ll take too much content over not enough content any day) managing ALL of that data becomes an issue on such a large scale. In our test environment, we found that working with a cache of over 3,000 songs led to interminable loading times, memory leak induced crashes and random stops and stutters inside of game play, none of which makes for an ideal gaming experience.
In an effort to reduce those drastic side effects, we imposed a limit to how many songs you can have in your active RB library. The 3,000 song cap does not affect how many songs you can store on your hard drive, and it does not take away your capacity to buy additional tracks: it only limits how many tracks you can have active in your RB library at one time. You should be able to delete tracks from RB at will and redownload them at no cost whenever you decide you want to play them again.
To provide a bit of context, we’re still many months away from hitting 3,000 individual songs in Rock Band, depending on the output from the awesome RBN community. Those 3,000 tracks, including all exports and DLC, will take up around 85 GB of hard drive space. At last count, there were roughly 20 DLC completionists across all consoles, and that was when we checked in nearly 6 months ago. And while we plan to continue to release new tracks every week, and I hope all of you plan to continue to pick up the new songs you like, this cap won’t be an issue for 99.9% of you playing RB. But for those few, those proud few, that this will affect, hopefully it’s helpful to know that there is a way to manage that data and keep your RB library intact and manageable.”
Oh wow! It was my understanding from Harmonix that this was some sort of memory limitation issue unique to the Wii. I had no idea it could so (relatively) easily be hacked! It’s been years since I softmodded/hacked my Wii. Looks like I’ll be readin’/hackin’ this weekend.
Thanks StackOverflow0x!
Quick question: If I have a softmodded Wii that already has reached its 1000 song limit with legit DLC, could I make a copy of my 32G SD card, and then remove the legit DLC and add CDLC in its place? Assuming yes, would I be able to swap SD cards depending upon which type of DLC I want to play, or is it not that simple? Obviously it would be awesome to sort of get around the 1000 song limit, even if it meant swapping SD cards, but I feel like it won’t be that simple and that someone here either has already tried, or simply realized why it wouldn’t work and didn’t try. I searched this forum before asking, but I may have missed the relevant post – sorry if I did.
Thanks for reading this.
Hey, we’re allowed to be disappointed.Of course. It’s just that the “lesser game” argument is invalid. RB3 didn’t have duels, which should have made it a “lesser game”, because it had at least one feature less than RB2. Any game that has at least one prominent feature removed should then be considered “lesser”, and it’s not a great logic.
No keys at all, no pro mode guitar or bass, no Wii support at all (bye-bye 600+ purchased customs). Oh yeah, RB4 isn’t a lessor game. LOL!
Rock Band 3 was the first such game I ever purchased/played. Had it not been for pro mode guitar + keys, I never would have bought it. I have zero interest in pressing a bunch of colored buttons on a controller shaped like a guitar. Quite obviously, I’m not going to purchase RB4, which clearly for me is a lessor game. Any logical person can see that.
I’m late to the BRB3 party, but I was able to downloading everything. So thank you to all the people involved.
So to summarize the past 6 months, the Beatles RB3 Project is dead, there won’t be a Strawberry Fields full band, and there are still people concerned about Beatles multitracks leaking out when they’ve all been freely available on torrent sites for years?
Well, thanks for update pro charts in any case, charters.
Thanks for responding. Dash Riprock is working on Stay the Night and Along Comes a Woman:

I saw your list of WIP songs and went “cool!” Then I saw the songs you’ve already done! WOw!
I usually have a hard time finding songs for PS that I actually know and like. There’s like 30 here. Me and my v-drums thank you!
No “Stay The Night” ??I really enjoyed the Genesis pack, but I personally would appreciate a Chicago pack a lot more. And Stay the Night is the only Chicago song that you haven’t committed to that I’d like to see. Even if you don’t do it, I will have all the Chicago I could ever want or ever thought I’d see in RB.
Brilliant!
Thank you (and your fellow charters), and I can’t wait to see the reaction once its released!
I completely understand the lead post. I do think it is unfortunate that those of us with Wiis will almost certainly never get another official DLC release from Harmonix, and that even if we do, there will be zero support for keys or pro mode (outside of drums, of course). I purchased over 600 DLCs from Harmonix for my Wii, and there is 0% chance that I will be able to use those on XBox One or PS4 (and I know that is out of Harmonix control – I’m sure they’d be happy to offer that kind of transfer if Nintendo/MSFT/Sony would cooperate, but that will never happen), so I have zero incentive to purchase a next gen console just to play a version of Rock Band that does not play my old DLC, does not support any of my instruments, and does not support pro mode or keys. RB4 is something I will never own, and it has nothing to do with C3 or customs.
As such, I really hope the C3 authors continue to make content for all of us RB3 users that see RB4 as a massive downgrade and/or have a platform (Nintendo) that is being completely abandoned by Harmonix.
But even if 100% of the C3 authors abandon the day RB4 ships, I suddenly have double the # of songs to play on my Wii (or PhaseShift) thanks to the folks here. I can’t thank you all enough for that.
Long live C3!
