I’m here to BEG FOR SINGLE-TRACKED VERSIONS OF THESE MARINA SONGS so I can play them on my Wii!

I’ve never made any charts for Wii or PS3, do you mean like one track for the backing? Like what songs usually are bcause stems are hard to come by?

Hey!~ Was beginning to do simple an clean by Utada and saw you started! Do you mind if we worked together to finish it? Or i could finish up where you left off? Or i could finish Keys/Bass and hand them back to you to complete the song?

The count-in gets merged with the song audiio track (or the background track if you are using multitrack) when you render the output audio. You can choose the render operation from Reaper ‘s File menu. It’s usually done at the end of the work but you can do it as soon as you have chosen the Limiter settings.

 

I don’t know how to change the count-in sample though, but you can bluntly su substitute it with copy-pasted fragments from any audio file.

Render output? Goodness, i dont think ive ever done that before. i usually use audacity to line stuff up before i even start, using item properties to line it up perfecty. your way sounds like less of a hassle then what i do. Is it that easy?

 

 

If you navigate to where your count-in samples are stored, you can just drag and drop them onto your track. REAPER’s default samples are stored in (your REAPER install folder)Count-In Samples. You can add your own samples to this folder if you’d like. I like to browse my FL Studio samples and use one of those.

 

In terms of mixing, I keep a meter on my MASTER track that I use to properly level my count-in. I like to keep it around the same level as the start of the song. From there, once you get it positioned correctly, you have the sound you want, and you’ve leveled it properly, you can add additional FX to it in REAPER. I sometimes add compression and reverb, but there are plenty of options that you can use.

so i find reapers count-in samples folder and, either use the default ones or add my own samples in, and reaper automatically knows its a count in and will acknowledge it is one when i put it on my flash drive and stick it in my xbox?

 

I can’t believe ive never even noticed the FX button, this should be fun.

absolutely love the persona series music, so many good ones to choose from! but some of them are missing keys, are they gonna be added later? If not, i could potentially assist (as long as you dont mind the pro keys being 100% accurate to how to play them on an actual piano)

 

I’ve got the original rivers in the desert finished but it doesnt show up in the music library in game, trying to fix it as we speak

Just a question, why are you using Party Buffalo? For me that doesn’t really work. I use the RBtoUSB app located in C3 con tools and it works like a charm for adding stuff.

 

I haad downloaded party buffalo before knowing there was the easier solution that is RBtoUSB. It wants me to format the flashdrive before itll let me use it. now that i backed up the more important stuff (all the customs previously) i should probably format it, because i can see RBtoUSB being simpler

did you change the ID? I think if the song has the exact same title, artist, and album it will only cache the ID of the first version. since you deleted the old versions it’s looking for the old ID and can’t find it. I think that’s how it works… I would just delete the song cache

 

as for the 30 MB, did you use the built-in silence audio in Magma or did you make your own? The silence doesn’t need to be as long as the song, Magma’s silence files are 1 second long.

Well i dont believe ive changed the ID…but i have done more recent versions. (like added overdrive and whatnot)

UPDATE : for shits and giggles, i deleted all customs (not before saving them of course) except for that song im trying to load in, and it STILL didnt show up in the library. i found a song cache but it was in my actual hard drive with all the official DLC ive purchased. It wouldnt have the same song ID as an official dlc, would it?

ps, its a song from the video game series Persona, so theres no way anything like it is already released

Duplicate song ID is probably the culprit.

I just checked to be sure (just in case) none of the earlier versions of the song were on the flash drive, but i didnt see any so i dont think thats it. (unless there more to it than that)

 

I do notice something though looking at the file. its 30 MBs and its just a backing track song. Thats about the size of a song with the instrument’s stems included, aint it. does that give us any clues?

 

I find it pretty strange i dont have a song cache though, isnt there normally always one?

Notes: When i did this song, i wasnt sure how to do harmonies (kept getting the error about there being 3 vocals charted but none found) so i only did the lead. and its not perfect. but its playable ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

 

Notes: This was one of my first songs charted. and it shows because there are some parts that arnt quite lined up (tempo map wise) not sure i ever finished the drums completely either, But its playable.

Notes: So i found Anastasia on blu ray when in walmart a few months back and i was ashamed i had forgotten about one of my childhood favorite movies!

The song has issues, like most my songs guitars kinda boring, theres a part where i was about to make the guitar have trumpet parts, but didnt have anymore. drums arnt the most engaging either. pro keys jump all over the place before choruses. but it all has overdrive and a venue. 1st phrase or 2 or vocals are pitched, but the rest are talkies. Lastly, the end of the song seems to speed up and my tempo mapping poops, vaguely slows down.

Judas is finally playable! No guitar (cuz there was only a FX stem left to use and it was very uncommon so made it the backing instead of a boring guitar) i’ve sang along to practice and some parts are off, some are WAY off, and some is just fine. Ill get the hang of it eventually. Not sure if i added overdrive or not…Lastly, expert only.

To celebrate the fact ive released 10 songs (including the one i helped on) im giving out a lil extra song!

Its Princess Kenny’s theme from the show/game! Does include Japanese lyrics and the vocals are probably wrong. (1st part of the vocals i cant find written anywhere online, so i tried to make it sound right…except the part that sounds like they’re saying hovercraft toyota..left that in there. and i suck at charting vocals anyways) and as usual, only expert difficulties for now.

Personal fav from back in the day! The song wasnt ever on the show itself if i recall correctly, however it was on a promitional cd in…cereal boxes and the soundtrack…i think…

ANYWAYS Whats neater is the fact i actually did all the difficulties (by hand, mind you. i still am not sure how to work the C.A.T. reductions) and the venues on this song! AND BIG ROCK ENDING ;o its a fast and somewhat short song.

I dont think i did harmonies…and the solo vocals may not be completely right, but i dont feel like many will sing this anyways. lol

My personal favorite from Zedd, its probably my favorite softer-toned song, alongside My Immortal and Sanctuary (ending version)

It only has vocals and keys, as you can see.

HERES A BIG ISSUE THOUGH

For whatever annoying reason, it seems audio only likes to come out of the left speaker. ive made sure the dry harmonies werent the same, didnt fix it. after trying several times to fix the issue, i made it solo vox…and it still outputs from one speaker. it doesnt make sense, the backing track plays on both speakers on the laptop i use.

So you’ve been warned

Yay Ellie! I did harmonies on the song…its crazy o.o the world is ending…or i just found a video that made doing the harmonies for this song relatively simple.

Only pro/norm Keys have different difficulties so far. overdrive is in. its an early version, so i still have fixes to do. but i figured those who dont mind it can still play them if they so choose.

Do you go to see them and record it?

 

Or do you use software.

 

I was thinking of using the keyboard where it sounds like people are singer ah and then have it with the song.

i find recordings of people at their concerts and use the audio from them to make the crowd sing-a-longs. c3 magma can put them into your songs for you ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
