in reply to: Keep looking for used deals! #507333

I look several times daily for ads on Craigslist and FB Marketplace. 99% of the time I find nothing new or overpriced crap. But its habitual. I sat down tonight and saw an ad on FB Marketplace for and RB set with 5 guitars, mics, and drums, no game. the picture was a wired guitar a GH les Paul and some other parts I couldn’t identify.

I messaged on a whim, ” how many cymbals?”, she replied back she thought there was at least two and asked me how much I would pay. I said boldly “$20″ (USD) She countered $30. I snapped a pic of my 5 drum sets with a box of guitar and parts and said I didn’t need them. She replied, $20 if you come and get them tonight. (Shes 30-45 minutes away) I said ” I just had some alcohol and I wont drive tonight but that I own my company and my schedule is flexible and could get it any day this week, but if she got a better offer I would not be offended. she offered to drive it to me for $30. I figured “why not?”

She came, dropped off the box, left. I snuck the box in the basement so my wife wouldn’t know, and went back to having dinner with my family. I came down later to look at what was in it….

It had a fucking Ion kit in the bottom (2 cymbals only) and 5 guitars, I didn’t even look for anything else, When I saw the Ion frame part, I lost my shit. I kept telling myself “No fucking way.”. For real, its in better shape than my other Ion kit I paid for ($100 with extra parts and all 3 cymbals). I’m on cloud fucking 9 right now.

Killer score my man! When I decided to get a 360, I found one on CL w/200 dlc songs. I was driving taxi at the time and I met the 3 kids/teens @ midnight. Totally felt like a drug deal lol. Moral of the story, sometimes you are the stranger and sometimes you are the strangee but a killer RB deal is a killer RB deal.

in reply to: How did you fix your broken RB1 drums pedal? #506678

Ive ductaped a butter knife as a support but other than that check out your local goodwill for inexpensive replacements. It sounds like you spend a decent amount of time playing so learn from my mistake, buy an ion drum rocker or an ekit cause itll be cheaper in the long run. Hair down, Horns up! cheers

in reply to: AC/DC should have gotten a studio RB release? Yes or No? #504420

There are a few C3 authors that have knocked the studio AC/DC songs out of the park! Still wishing for a complete catalog though haha. As long as the songs get done one way or another is all i care about.

Please DO NOT do this song. This damn song broke up the band. Sorry to be a hater.

in reply to: I would love to see; Firehouse – Don’t Treat Me Bad #503387

While we are at it, let’s just complete the trifecta of hits and add Love of a Lifetime to the list!

I’d switch out Love of a Lifetime with All She Wrote

in reply to: I would love to see; Firehouse – Don’t Treat Me Bad #503371

I agree, would LOVE to have “Reach for the Sky”. I saw them about 5 years ago and they are still kicking ass!

in reply to: How many Guitar Hero 6 Guitar add ons were created? #502844

docsrockbandmods (I think that’s the name) is a cool site that shows you how to take apart, repair, and modify all of your instruments. unfortunately the WOR is the hardest guitar to do. I always thought it’d be cool to 3d print some of the in game guitars and be able to play them. Good luck on your quest and please keep me posted on the 3d printer parts.

in reply to: Am i an elitist prick? #500114

My answer is “No, you aren’t being a prick.” I have asked what I thought were innocent questions on theinternet and was shocked by some of the responses I recieved. People can be harsh with their words but then again people are too sensitive as well. I give you mad respect for you’re material, but I respect anyone who attempts to chart and put it out there for the world to love or crap on. Either way if your charts, tempo maps, or you’ve got that weird half dead sound I’ve come across on some songs, it gets deleted as quickly as it was downloaded. Cheers to the chart masters and cheers to the people still learning, both have made my rockband playing experience more enjoyable every day.

in reply to: Songs you can’t believe haven’t been done yet? #499288

Matthew Wilder – Break My Stride

Krokus – Screaming In The Night

Kenny Rodgers Dolly Parton – Islands In The Stream

Phantom, Rocker & Slick – Men Without Shame (I cant believe that all of the guitar heroes missed this killer guitar song!)

in reply to: C3 Generations – the ultimate customs collection #499185

Got my fingers crossed that KROKUS Screaming in the Night makes the cut. Oh how I enjoy boxsets teehee.

in reply to: Confessions of an author #498398

Dont stop! Your addiction feeds my addiction hahaha. Your customs rock, so 1. embrace and love who you are and what you’ve become 2. please do Krokus Screaming in the night. Thanks, you rock!

Love what you are doing, yes more steve miller please. I got a country buddy that only asks for one song every time he comes over, “Any chance you got watermelon crawl yet?” There I gave you his request. Thanks agai for everything.

in reply to: Farottone’s Wall of Guitars #496804

Very nice collection. I’m pretty jealous since I only have one working guitar out of the 4 that I have!

Check out your local goodwill, I have picked up at least 15 guitars from mine for $5 ea. For $5 its not much of a gamble to do your own repairs or scavenge parts

in reply to: Farottone’s Wall of Guitars #496803

Is there anything that doesn’t turn to gold when you touch it? Haha looks good. I had 25 up on my wall at one point, but I decided to put up my music memorabilia instead so 17 guitars are in the garage. My favorite thing at our old house’s rockroom was our rockfridge. No need to leave the room to refresh beverages and everbody that played HAD to sign it with a sharpie. Good times. Would like to see a pic of your drum set.
