Hey there,
First off, thanks to all for creating and posting so many great RB songs. This place has done a fantastic job in keeping my RB fandom going and I’m sure it’s done the same for many others.
I hit a bit of a snag yesterday and I’m hoping someone knows what I’m doing wrong. I hit the 256-song bug a while back (though for me, it didn’t seem to take effect until I had well over 256 customs). I had to delete my song cache and reload my main thumb drive in the process, but no big deal – I took songs to the Xbox using a second drive and used the Xbox system settings to copy them to the main thumb drive and everything seemed to work well. Then I bought two of the new songs released by Harmonix the other week. Last night, I tried to copy a half-dozen customs over to my main thumb drive, and nothing. They copied over fine, but the game won’t see them. I deleted and rebuilt the song cache, nothing. I tried keeping the new songs on the second thumb drive (any reason that shouldn’t work?) – nothing. It just doesn’t want to see the new songs. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
If you’re using Party Buffalo switch to Horizon and viceversa.
A month later… thought I’d post my results in case anyone ever sees this and is interested.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried Horizon, but every time I tried to download it, it either told me the download was unavailable or that it had a virus. Same with the other similar tools I tried. Most likely my antivirus software being overprotective. Regardless, I was able to use the RB3Con Tools to rename all my songs and group them into packages. That did the trick.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
