I have a suggestion, Would it be possible to link to Itunes/Youtube/Anything with a preview for the song in the song page?

Another suggestion for further down the road: maintain a watchlist of artists and authors, so you get a notification (email? RSS?) when someone uploads a song by that artist or when that author uploads something.
I was hoping this might already exist for authors, but if it does, I can’t find it.

If someone submits a song with no OD authored, that field would be “no” instead of “yes”.
Probably too much work, but would it be possible to say, get an email at the end of every week saying what was recently added to the database?

Would it be possible to release a song that is already in the database, let’s say there is a guitar only chart.
Can you release a full band chart you made?
Also if there is already a full band one out there can you still release my version with animations and venue edits?
Also could there be a tab of all the GH songs in order?
I might try release my old songs to full band and it would be cool if the GH songs was in order.
Also a option to look at the artist and see what songs have been released with the list showing the full band ones fist.
Also a option to say that the custom is mostly a conversion.

Is it possible to have a page view count or something for the song page? Obviously downloads can’t be tracked since we’re using external sites, but a visit count would be a good measurer.
Also, a separate page for clicking on an artist would be nice. Something like
“Band X”
5 total songs
Album 1
2 songs
track two – authored by user A
track six – authored by user B
Album 2
3 songs
track one- authored by user B
track three- authored by user C
track four- authored by user B
Somehow this could be organized with the metadata or something I dunno. I know it’s all chaos right now.

We talked about this earlier in the thread, and it’s also covered in the announcement. Ideally, we prefer that users collaborate to release a single, “definitive” version of the song. If you can’t reach the original author, you CAN release another version, we just strongly prefer that you do not.

I decided that the only customs I would put into the database are at least Full Band with legacy instruments (VGBD), OD, CAT-assisted reductions and practice sections. If a custom has harmonies, drums and/or decipherable keys I will do my best to chart them or find someone who can before they go into the database. I’ll be going through all the songs available in my Other Customs thread and preparing them for upload, but I will not be posting any more customs there, only using it to announce additions or updates to the database. As of this moment I have uploaded two but have several more that I will be uploading as soon as I have the time to double-check them.
Thanks again to pksage for all his hard work on this and everything else over the last few years. I swear some of the admins are robots!

I have a question regarding integrating a forum feature into this. You know how when we read a thread it is marked “read” and we can come back next week to the forum and see whats been unread as it’s Bolded? can this be done to the customs database so that those of us who visit only on weekends due to busy lives can catch up quickly where we left off, in order to not miss a single song since last week’s visit?
If not I’ll just keep the database as “Last Updated (DESC) ” and I’ll make note of the date of my last visit using the “Last Updated” column.

There’s a “Follow” button on the corner when you view the song details.
yeah, i dont think theres a clear way to do this, cuz if i do that, itll notify me everytime a new song is up (wich lately, and thats nice, has been everytime), wich can get very annoying, i guess ill have to check from time to time.
@pksage , any clue if multiplatform links will be added anytime soon? not rushing things, i know u are having a hard work with this, just curious.
