Xbox360iso isn’t the only website, also frets on fire, and a fair few phase shift forums with band lists, focused on artist packs
April 2, 2015 at 5:10 pm #441916Yeah, but don’t forget C3 is for Rock Band customs. The FoF and Phase Shift forums have some RB3 customs, but it’s mostly Phase Shift stuff (even on the FoF forums that seems to be true as well). Trust me, I like being in the know. I’m active on various forums ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> Just not the FrenchOnFire one ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
April 2, 2015 at 8:42 pm #441927Well while I understand this announcement it both deeply saddens me but also gives light at the end of tunnel. This is a great community and I feel that though c3 won’t be doing official/unofficial content I feel like there will still be the big dogs around doing some customs though not officially for c3. At least this is my hope you guys have done a lot for the rock band community and while I know harmonix couldn’t add a feature to play customs due to a bunch of issues I could only hope. I know unfortunately I won’t have access to a Xbox one for a while so I will miss out on rock band for a bit but I’ll still get to enjoy everything you guys here have done. Thank you for your work.
April 4, 2015 at 12:06 am #442020Just saw this thread. So sad ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> but also so happy to see all the great comments.
I’m forever grateful to C3! Pksage, nemo, farottone, nyxy, espher etc… You guys are the best. So unselfish, patient and extremely helpful. Thank you all!

And we are so happy that such a great community spurred from all this with authors committed to releasing so many good songs, and that is definitely something we don’t want to lose. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
April 4, 2015 at 4:53 am #442039Definitely the right decision going forward, I’d say. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it would be to spend hours on a custom only to have Harmonix release their own version of the same song officially afterwards. I’m expecting the same will happen even with songs that you guys have already released. The big thing I’d keep an eye out for is stuff that can not and never will be in Rock Band due to licensing issues, like Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin as prime examples from the RB 1-3 days. Anything like that would make for prime material for customs.
April 4, 2015 at 6:18 am #442040There’s at least 20 or more weeks before RB4 will be released worldwide and I’m just going to say to everyone in this forum, DON’T STOP ROCKING I’m just gonna enjoy the weekly released songs from C3, the masters of customs and I believe that there are still plenty of surprises in store for us (C3 making customs for boybands like BSB or N sync, who knows rite?) and also customs made by other talented authors in this forum.
It’s going to be a sad news when C3 pulls the plug but there’s a chance that Harmonix will revive the glory days of plastic rock games and revitalize the rhythm games genre. But there are no backwards compatibility tho.
April 4, 2015 at 8:35 am #442044Wow, been away from the site for a bit so I missed this, but… wow. This totally makes sense, but it’s definitely bittersweet.
I know there’s still a ways to go yet before RB4, but what y’all have accomplished truly is amazing and inspiring, and I’m eternally grateful to have stumbled on this incredible, dedicated community. Rock Band was (temporarily) dead – but thanks to you, and now HMX once again – long live Rock Band!! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 4, 2015 at 9:28 am #442045I completely understand the lead post. I do think it is unfortunate that those of us with Wiis will almost certainly never get another official DLC release from Harmonix, and that even if we do, there will be zero support for keys or pro mode (outside of drums, of course). I purchased over 600 DLCs from Harmonix for my Wii, and there is 0% chance that I will be able to use those on XBox One or PS4 (and I know that is out of Harmonix control – I’m sure they’d be happy to offer that kind of transfer if Nintendo/MSFT/Sony would cooperate, but that will never happen), so I have zero incentive to purchase a next gen console just to play a version of Rock Band that does not play my old DLC, does not support any of my instruments, and does not support pro mode or keys. RB4 is something I will never own, and it has nothing to do with C3 or customs. As such, I really hope the C3 authors continue to make content for all of us RB3 users that see RB4 as a massive downgrade and/or have a platform (Nintendo) that is being completely abandoned by Harmonix.
But even if 100% of the C3 authors abandon the day RB4 ships, I suddenly have double the # of songs to play on my Wii (or PhaseShift) thanks to the folks here. I can’t thank you all enough for that.
Long live C3!
I echo all of these sentiments exactly as a fellow Wii user.
Really grateful to all authors who contributed to tremendous C3 releases past, present and future.
April 7, 2015 at 5:43 pm #442229Thanks C3 guys!
I can’t imagine Rock Band 3 without customs anymore. All that awesome songs that had never officially been released
Also, thanks for all that time and effort put in the C3 Con Tools, Magma C3, CAT and the tutorials that made us able to chart our favorite songs.
On the other hand we are also working on giving the community a better platform to release their songs on, so that independent authors can still do what they love and reach those who want to play their songs. This is something we are actually planning so we will address this later in the year. That sounds awesome. Something like DLC Quickplay for customs would be nice, with a database with customs both by C3 and users with dedicated “subpages” where you can review customs (by fun factor) and post video and that stuff.
That would make it much easier to find customs.
April 13, 2015 at 12:02 am #442629Wow, I’m always late to the party lol. It seems like it was only yesterday that I discovered C3, and customs in general, too. Now weekly releases are ending. One thing’s for sure, I will always enjoy every piece of content you guys have put out, other customs or C3 releases. Long live customs!
April 22, 2015 at 12:04 pm #443434Well there’s always an option for continu making customs, Search for band that no one exist and it will be the key, I know alot but if we could could entrust us like we did in the past years (I know I”m here only almost a year) we could continu, like if there’s a song without keys you could get it if it haven’t been done and put keys and share it. I don’t know all it will work like you said Farrotone but I’m sure we can find a solution!!
April 22, 2015 at 4:37 pm #443459Good openingspost from our hero Farratone.
I must add to his post when he says “without harmonix no C3”. I say true, but without C3 no rockband 4.
Dont think that I would buy rockband 4 if I didnt had the fantastic customs releases from C3 that kept me loving this game.
I will buy and support rockband 4 and will buy dlc, even if I already own the custom of that song.
Just a thought: what if C3 keeps on releasing customs but they are xbox360 ps3 only, while harmonix is making xbox one and ps4 only.
Hm, Im really sad cuz I just love comming to the site, finding out what songs are coming, reading your posts about bands I never heard of…..
But tails made me happy saying that there will be customs being made ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
But it feels like losing a friend ….. (If only I could figure out how to make a custom myself)
May 4, 2015 at 11:21 am #444535i totally respect you guys for what you do and completely understand what your saying. You don’t owe us anything you have already given us more than we could possibly imagine.
But also i will say this even when rock band 4 comes id still look to this site because no matter how many songs they do theres still a million songs harmonix won’t do that we as a community can do. Its never the end, sure i can see it slowing up or breaking for a bit while RB4 starts for some time but harmonix will only do so much, even when they did regular content there was so much content they left out and would never touch. This community has filled so many gaps they left behind and i can’t imagine his game without you guys. So lets just see what the future holds, i mean for all we know it might not even sell well, which would be bad i know. But rock band 3 didn’t do as well here in UK, like none of the instruments were mass sold for RB 3 here its was all mainly just the disc. I’m already seeing adverts for guitar hero live here and seen nothing advertised for Rock Band 4 our shops. For all we know GH live could flop as well, i know a fair amount of people who think that form of gaming is long dead and had its day, we don’t know what the future holds. I will hand it to harmonix they seem to be the ones listening to their audience about compatibility to get the buyers on side rather than completely ignore it.
May 6, 2015 at 3:34 pm #444764you are right about the instruments for rockband 3…..I would love to have a second wireless guitar with the new buttons like my Beatles rockband guitar. Cannot find 1 in the Netherlands. Yes, the complete set for Beatles with game for 200 euro, but not only the guitar.
I will wait for rockband 4 and buy thay with a guitar.
I also read more about guitar hero live than about rockband.
I think the 6 buttons (2 rows above each other) can be interesting and I will buy that one too.
