HOCKEY IS BACK BABY
This week features two artists (unless I’m forgetting someone). My apologies for the delay in getting hints together. So, here goes nothing.
- One of the bands featured this week, whose name would be a great euphemism for someone’s experimental college phase, currently has a frontwoman who used to be in a band the charts’ author was working with at one time — though this connection is not present in this pack.
- The other artist has been active for over 35 years, though none of their recent albums have managed to match the commercial success of their first two solo releases. As RyanHYK also noted, they also have a connection to Celebrity Apprentice.

Meat Loaf. Please, please, PLEASE be Meat Loaf.
(Or maybe Cyndi Lauper.)

Twisted Sister (Dee Snider), but are any of these still active?

All of them, surprisingly – actually, Meat Loaf may have just finished his farewell tour, but Cyndi and Dee are still active (if you get the chance to see Twisted Sister, do it, they’re still absolutely fantastic)

Cyndi Lauper fits the 35 year part, the others are over 45 years. (Technically TS was inactive for over 20 years…) If they ever pass through my area, I will be sure to check them out.
October 3, 2013 at 4:34 pm #407249I don’t think you guys are considering LaToya Jackson.
October 3, 2013 at 4:56 pm #407250I don’t think you guys are considering LaToya Jackson.Oddly enough I did consider TLC for the first clue (until realising there are many factors make that wrong), but LaToya Jackson was totally overlooked. October 3, 2013 at 8:05 pm #407256Hoping for Cyndi Lauper pack: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time, The Goonies R Good Enough, and True Colors.

October 4, 2013 at 12:29 am #407289In the first clue, does the “working with” part imply actual contact with said band?
October 4, 2013 at 3:13 am #407299Looks like it’s going to take all night to guess these songs.

October 4, 2013 at 5:49 am #407306It’s gotta be Cyndi Lauper. Her first 2 albums both hit #4 and went 6x and 2x Platinum. Meat Loaf’s first album didn’t chart, and Twisted Sister didn’t get big until their 3rd release.

However if its Goonies R Good Enough then I’ll be very happy
October 4, 2013 at 10:43 am #407316I’m surprised nobody’s taken a crack at some band names that would be interesting euphemisms.
