Also, I felt that that there sonically distinctive notes in drums between M84-M95 and the part near the end. I made some changes based on that because I personally think that it does not feel right hitting consecutive yellow hi-hats when there are distinctly different sounds. If you, by you I mean farottone, disagree with me, feel free to change it back to your version.
It’s ok. I went for actual open hi hats in my editing, not for hi hat struck with force, but it works as you did too, absolutely.
Another thing since it is unanswered, I’m wondering if the empty spot at M12.1.5 in the drums track is intentional or maybe an error? Just asking because I was confused when making the fixes.
Definitely an error, there’s a hi hat there, yes.
July 14, 2014 at 3:54 pm #424662Here is a MIDI with fixes I did.
http://keepitfishy.com/d.php?53c3fb7fa875f
What I’ve done:
– General sustain and pitch fixes on reductions for guitar, bass, keys and pro keys (very minor stuff, just thought I’d do it myself rather than make you go back yet again to adjust some sustains).
– Edited the Events track so that event names are a little less confusing (you had it to where there were two “verses” before each chorus, when really it’s a longer intro, then a verse, then a chorus). Also adjusted where the “Music_Start,” “Music_End” and “End” events were. You may change these if you want. I felt the “End” event came much too soon after the chart ended, and it’d be abrupt in-game. You want to give a measure or so for someone to put the controller down, take a drink, etc. I should also explain that the “Music_Start” marker is actually when the audience would realize what song is being played, and start to cheer, and the “Music_End” event is when the audience realizes the song has ended, and they start to applaud. I did not add any crowd events, though it is highly recommended you at least add crowd animation markers, and I’d suggest to make the crowd clap at least during the high-energy parts (such as the intro and the chorus). I left this up to you so you can decide how he crowd acts, but if you’d rather me do this I can.
– Edited venue to add additional lighting calls and post-processing I thought would match the mood of the song. Try playing it in-game, and if there’s anything that seems “off” to you, or you’d like something changed, please tell me.
And with that, the song SHOULD be ready for release. How does August 1st sound for a release date?

Sounds good to me.
July 19, 2014 at 2:56 am #424944So when do you think the next version of Another Winter will be built? I want to test it in-game to make sure things such as venue work out as intended.
July 19, 2014 at 3:50 am #424950So when do you think the next version of Another Winter will be built? I want to test it in-game to make sure things such as venue work out as intended.I’ll try to put another version based on your latest feedback by tomorrow. Sounds simple enough for me to do so.
July 19, 2014 at 4:48 am #424954Was about to create a CON file of Another Winter and pro key errors happened. Gigakoops, let me know how you want me to fix it.

July 20, 2014 at 4:06 am #425051Another Winter got updated with minor edits. Venue looks fine when I tested it. As I mentioned before, pro keys
need some fixing.
– Added clapping
– Extended EVENTS a bit so Magma can detect the [end] event

July 21, 2014 at 11:53 pm #425212Here are the fixed pro keys charts. It was all errors in lane shift placement. I adjusted it so it should work in-game without notes appearing out-of-bounds.

Also, you linked your RPP instead of the CON file. Make sure to link the actual CON file next time you get it built ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

I wish I can chart “A View to a Kill” for the pack if I have enough time.

That would be so great. I considered doing it but I have other stuff I need to do too. If you managed to do that, it would really be awesome.
